The sun was shining down, bathing the world in warm light. The birds were chirping, creating beautiful melodies the next morning.

The couple woke up later than usual and headed down, only to be greeted by a heavenly smell coming from the kitchen.

"Good morning, Erin, Lily." Kael was at the kitchen, grabbing plates from the cupboard and laying them down on the dining table. An apron tied around his waist.

"Oh my! Kael! You didn't have to do this!" Lily exclaimed as she attempted to help out the silverette.

Kael chuckled as he stopped her from grabbing the plate on his hands and instead guided her to a chair and sat her down. "I wanted to repay you. I don't have much so I wanted to help out."
He put down the last plate on the table filled with bread cut in even slices, miso soup on a pot, and omelettes on top of fried rice.

"You didn't have to." Erin took a seat next to his wife as he stared at all the food. It looked delicious. "I didn't know you were a cook!" Erin reached out a small bowl and poured the soup in it.

"I'm not....but being a lonely high schooler in an apartment you learn things...." Kael thought as he awkwardly chuckled.

"I came across a chef who was willing to take apprentices back at the East coast of Rocheta." He responded instead, although it isn't exactly a lie.......it was just a couple hundred years ago......

"Oh! You've been there?! That is quite surprising. So you're a traveler?" Erin asked as he took a spoonful of the warm soup, immediately widening his eyes at the taste.

"Yes, I've been travelling around the world for a long time now." Kael smiled as he took in the reactions of the married couple.

"This is delicious! You must teach me the recipe!" Lily exclaimed as her eyes shone in newfound respect for the silverette.

"Of course, although some ingredients are hard to come by since I have used a bit of seaweed which is quite hard to obtain in the south, where plains are abundant." Kael held up a bundle of seaweed he got out of his storage box.
"Its quite useful that I'm a mage in this world." The silverette thought.

Oblivious to the unsaid words the couple gasped, "You're a mage!!"

"Yes, I'm sorry for not telling you sooner." A blush appeared on the mages face.

"Nonsense! Young man, this is amazing! Are you enrolled in any academy?" Erin asked as he stared at the mage in front of him like he was staring at a days worth of bountiful harvest.

"I've already graduated." Kael let out a dry laugh as he lied.

"Really?! You look not older than 18! Mages and their immortality!" Lily muttered with an annoyed expression.

A hearty laugh left the lips of the mage as he sat down on a chair opposite the couple.

"I've been told that I look quite younger than my actual age..." Kael rubbed the nape of his neck in embarrassment.

The conversation continued on as the three sat around the table eating breakfast.

Peaceful days with the couple passed and it was time for Kael to leave. He was going on another journey.

"Do you really have to leave?" Lily questioned a solemn look in her eyes. She enjoyed the company of this mage, as did her husband.

The couple smiled as they said their goodbyes. It was a short time, but they truly enjoyed the stories and liveliness this mage has brought, it was like they had a child.

"Take care on your journey." Erin pat the shoulder of Kael and Lily pulled him in an embrace.

"Here, its my thanks for taking care of me these past days." Kael pulled away and handed a pouch full of high level monster cores, although unknown to the couple.
