Chapter 13: Family Reunion

Y/N POV:

Ruby and I head to Ozpin's office since Ironwood saw us fighting against a masked woman inside the tower.

We enter the elevator as Ruby presses all the buttons.

Y/N: Why?

Ruby: I'm sorry! It was nerves!

Y/N: Well, it gives us time on what exactly to tell them once we make it.

Ruby: Yeah, you're right.

Y/N: So, that woman had a mask on.

Ruby: She also fought with glass and fire.

Y/N: And her clothes lit up whenever she attacked.

Ruby: Right.

An awkward silence passes as I start thinking about what happened at the dance.

Hanari: (Just calm down)

Y/N: (Right)

Y/N: So, Ruby about what happened at the dance...?

Ruby: (blushing) Y-Yeah...

Y/N: I just wanted to say I really enjoyed it...dancing with you.

Ruby: Yeah, M-Me too.

Y/N: Especially when we....when we...kissed.

Ruby: Y-Yeah I enjoyed it too.

We stare into each other's eyes as we get closer and closer until we hear the elevator door open.

We back away from each other and walk to his office to see Ozpin with Ms.Goodwitch and General Ironwood.

Ruby: Sorry it took so long. Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way up here.

Ruby: It wasn't me.

Y/N & Hanari: (Really...)

Ozpin: Thank you both for coming, How are you two feeling?

Ruby: Okay, I guess. I'd feel better if my bad-guy-catching record wasn't O-for-three.

The three of them stare at us silently.

Y/N: Okay, so that's the tone we're going for.

Ironwood: Ruby, Y/N, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about.

Ironwood: You took action. And you did the very best you could.

Y/N & Ruby: Thank you, sir.

Ozpin: Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that... transpired last night, but now that you've both rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add.

Glynda: Was anyone else with her? Did she look familiar to you at all?

Ruby: She was wearing a mask, and she never said anything to us.
