A/N: Well, I'm still alive folks. I'll answer some questions towards the end of this chapter and what has been going on. I know the chapter is very short, I apologize. Please hold off on any comments on what will happen to the books towards the end.

Chapter 45 / Blake's P.O.V
The hotel room didn't look promising, rather sketchy as if a shitty customer had to get a room for paid prostitutes. The stench had a personality of its own as you walked through the dimmed lit hall. Similar to a person with depression not taking care of themselves, days on end of suffering internally.
You would think Johnathan would have gotten at least a decent place to stay at for the next couple of days. He was wealthy enough to rent even a small apartment, but I think this hotel becomes too obvious of his whereabouts. The last door to the left on the third floor we saw Lydia standing out there waiting for us. Detective Gabe and his partner lead the way for Olive and myself. Lydia greeted herself to each of the detectives and we gathered inside the small room which seemed to feel muggy. My hair already started to frizz.
There was a small bathroom to the left and a short hallway to the bedroom which connects to the living room. With the five of us being in the room, I already felt claustrophobic. Once the detective greeted themselves to Johnathan they began to ask a series of questions. Some were the same that they asked between Olive and I, others were new and complicated. Johnathan's face was guilty of what he's done when I first was taken by his father, it was a complication between families yet a bond never being able to break. Both of our families are wavering, especially in the public eye.
Social media has finally taken its toll on theories between our families and I've been staying away from it. Some reporters think it's an act, others think it's a hint towards a new movie or it could be a mid-life crisis at the age of twenty-four. I remember being so careless but how did I come to a situation like this? I folded my arms hoping to comfort myself from the conflict around me.
"Who is Michael?" Gabe asked Johnathan.
This caught my attention, being stuck in an endless void trying to calm myself down was useless. Why is his name being brought up in this conversation? I haven't seen him in years and he had nothing to do with this investigation. Johnathan stared at me intently, his jaw tightened and swallowed harshly. Gabe was taken back a bit by Johnathan's reaction, we were both a bit stunned that he would even ask the question though.
"Why? Did you come in contact with him?" Johnathan started to look a little frustrated.
"Johnathan, calm down," I said subtly.
"I knew I had to worry though, I only brought it up to you once, Blake. Ever since I started to hang out with you more, I brought it up once and you didn't say a damn thing about it. Olive got in the way, and I should have pushed further in that conversation," He inhaled sharply trying to control his anger.
I bit my bottom lip, it had slipped my mind about Michael. The one other person who knew everything behind closed doors. Our family became a mess and we dragged him into the hell hole he didn't deserve. He was kindhearted and definitely didn't deserve to be caught up in both of our father's business.
"Don't bring Olive into this. No one else is at fault for Michael beside us and our families," I said trying to be reasonable.
"Look," Johnathan started, "Michael had ties with our family when we all went to school together. He was known for his profound photography, but there was something about him that rubbed me the wrong way," his hands clasped together in frustration.
