Suspicions

Hey guys, sorry for the late update. I just wanted to say thank you soooooo much for the 50+ reads❤️❤️❤️❤️, I honestly never expected it. Anyway, here's your chapter. Enjoy.

Previously:

Jonathan opened his mouth to protest but then he caught sight of his mom and froze. Amora seized the advantage and dragged Jon inside but not before she gave her 'uncle' the look. 

"Why's you do that?!" Jonathan shouted

"Because you would have caused a problem that's what!"

"Didn't you see dad's reaction when he heard that man's voice? And I'm pretty sure mom doesn't  faint when she sees a fight."

Right when Amora was about to answer Katherine came in.

"Jon, Amy, what's going on? We heard shouting."

Seeing her twin not knowing how to respond, she answered, "Nothing."

Kat rolled her eyes, "Uh huh, and this nothing means it earns a whole bunch of cuss words."

"You're not supposed to know any."

"I've known them since I was ten, I hear you all the time. And changing the subject isn't gonna work."

Now it was the twins turn to roll their eyes. Amora fidgeted and Jon looked like he wanted to break something. The tense silence was broken when Jace came in talking in whispers with Clary,

"Do you really think it's him?"

"That's impossible, we saw him die."

"I don't know, do you think she's.... Kids what are you doing here?"

"I dunno dad and who was that?"

Jace exchanged glances with Clary, "Your mom and I want you to stay inside at all times and don't talk to any strangers."

Amy protested, "But we're old enough to to protect ourselves and Kat's like 12 so she's gonna get her runes soon."

"Actually I turned 13 last week."

"Oh yeah."

"Well, I'm sorry but those are the rules," Clary said firmly, "And until Seb- that man is caught you will follow those rules."

"So, just to clarify, we don't have to go to school?"

Jace smirked, "Nice try Kat, but you still gotta go to school."

Kat sighed, "Well, it was worth the try."

Jon didn't care about school, "Mom who was that guy?"

"Someone I hope you'll never meet again," Clary said.

"Why? And he said he was your brother or something like that."

"That's because he is."

"WHAT?!" The three teenagers yelled.

"Ya, he is because-"

"MOOMMMMY! RAPHAEL SPILLED THE MILK ON MY DRESS!"

"I DID NOT!"

"DID TOO!"

The teens inwardly seethed and cursed at their youngest siblings, just when their mom was about to give an answer to their questions, the twins ruined it. On the other hand Clary and Jace inwardly were grateful for the the twins for interrupting them, unknowingly saving them from answering.

"Coming!" They both yelled.

Once their parent were gone, Jon said, "Didn't  anyone get the vibes that mom and dad are hiding something big?"

"Yeah," Amora said, "But I'm sure it for a good reason."

"Okay, so maybe you're right but didn't you see how panicked mom and dad were?"

Amora didn't have an answer. Jon said, "Then I think we're all agreed that we'll find out what they're hiding?"

They both nodded their heads, but Amora did it more reluctantly.
