Oh Young Mi's Point Of View
My sister and I headed home after her unfortunate event. She had plans to hang with Jae-Yi, sort of like a date. I, on the other hand, was alone with nothing to do, bored out of my mind. When I woke up the next day I felt drained, my body was heavy and my head was pounding, I know I didn't drink so what could be wrong?
Ji-Na and I went to school in silence. When we got to school she was taken to the office along with Soo-Ji. I stayed back and hung around with my friends. After awhile Soo-Ji walked into class with her crutches, I stared at her. She sighed and scoffed when she sat down, "I can't believe her. She must be an idiot, she copied my title word for word." She badmouthed my sister, the blood in my veins pumped.
"She wouldn't do that. Besides she wrote that in middle school, and you suck at writing. Ji-Na and I stayed late last night submitting our writing for the contest." I hissed and got up walking to my seat, I had been on my sisters desk.
Bo-Ra glared at Soo-Ji, "Are you sure it wasn't you who copied her?" Soo-Ji returned the glare. My crossed my arms and she glanced at me, her eyes widened slightly then Soo-Ji rolled them and turned to my friend.
Stepping up to Bo-Ra she sneered, "I submitted mine at 7 last night, Ji-Na did it the next day in the morning." I scoffed and leaned back on the chair.
"Last night I was with her. She had gone to the bathroom and I fell asleep waiting for her. When she came back her story was deleted. Ji-Na had forgotten to save it, but still someone must have copied and erased it before she came back, all while I slept..." The last word slipped past my lips and I frowned, suddenly feeling guilty. "It's my fault, I should have stayed awake, now she's being accused of copying when she worked so hard for the contest." A small warm tear rolled down my face and I quickly wiped it away, getting up and leaving the class room.
I went over to the front of the entrance of the building. On the post board they had announced the results of the contest. Even though I got first place it sure didn't feel like it. My sister is getting disciplinary action and Soo-Ji got second place.
Soo-Ji walked over to my sister who was frowning at the announcement. I walked over to them as Ji-Na snapped at her, "I swear that I've never seen your work. But I get accused for plagiarizing and even got in trouble. Which means one of us is lying, and since it isn't me, it has to be you. Tell them," My sister cried, I grabbed her shoulder.
"Let go. You're the one who got yourself into this mess. Why are you blaming me?" Soo-Ji said back then groaned in pain she leaned down and looked at her cast.
Ra-Hae walked over to Soo-Ji and pushed my sister off her. Ji-Na fell when she was pushed, but stared at the mean girls with tears at the brim of her eyes, "Hey, what are you doing to someone who got hurt?" I pushed the girl back with one finger on her head. She groaned as she fell just like my sister had.
I glared at her, while she stared at me with a glare. Once I glared back she looked away, "How does it feel to be push to the ground?" My sister stared at the floor, I helped her up but she still wouldn't say anything nor look up. The small crowd watched us, but back up when I turned to them. They walked back to class, as I told Ji-Na I would buy her a bottle of water. She nodded but her head remained tucked down, her tears slipping and soaking her shirt. I hurried to the vending machine and rushed back to my sisters side. The cold bottle burned my skin as I held it for her to take it. Her phone in her hand, she turned it off and placed in her pocket then took the bottle giving me a thanks and we walked to our next class.
Ji-Na and I walked in after everyone, she had her head down while I stood tall. For a second I made eye contact with Ro-bin, I sighed when I realized he was sitting beside Soo-Ji. She gave me a smirk but I flipped her off and sat in the corner where Rok-Hee was. She put her bag down and gave me the seat she was saving for me. I gave her a smile then took out a pencil and my note book.
Out o nowhere a bell rung loudly throughout the classroom. Everyone went stopped and looked around to see where the sound was coming from. At one point someone yelled 'Fire!' and we hurried out of the class. Since I was in the corner I was pushed back, but once I made ti to the front I fell, tripping over a blue chair. I covered my face as arms wrapped around me, I felt protected by this warm barrier. The arms felt like home, familiar. There was a sweet aroma then it was gone. I opened my eyes and looked up to see Ro-bin holding me in his arms once there were no one else in the room apart from us. We ran out of the room together and everyone from our class was out on the hall about to leave the building when there was an announcement that there was no fire.
Rok-Hee stared at Soo-Ji with a smirk, "Hey, Soo-Ji what's with you? Did you lie about your leg?" I scoffed and pointed out she was the first one out of the class.
"What are you talking about, I'm still in pain." She said denying it.
Ro-bin sighed and looked at her with a pained expression. "I thought you got hurt because of me and I helped you. But you weren't even injured?" I looked at him confused.
"So that's why Ro-bin has been sticking with Soo-Ji recently,"Bo-Ra said crossing her arms annoyed. Ro-bin snapped at her, calling her the worst.
She shook her head and stared at him with guilt, yet still tried to lie, "That's not it. I...I ran because of the adrenaline rush." Soo-Ji tried to explain but when she reached down to soothe the 'pain' in her leg she held the wrong one, the one without the cast. Na-Ri pointed it out, Soo-Ji then tried to play it cool but it was too late. Rok-Hee shook her head at her while I sighed.
"It was a false alarm. You can stop holding hands now," Rok-Hee smirked at us. I looked down at my hand, that was being held by Ro-bin and I pulled away from him. He stared at me with a hurt look. "What, Young Mi, you''re blushing. Something looks fishy." I sent her and Bo-Ra a glare.
Crossing my arms I scoffed and rolled my eyes, "What are you talking about there's nothing fishy." Ro-bin then walked over to Mi-Nam and I remembered how he protected me from our classmates. I smiled sadly, what am I supposed to do now?"
