Today was my baby girls 1st birthday! I really was excited because I've been waiting for this day since the moment she was born. I've officially been a mother for 1 whole year.  I know it's not much because I still have a lifetime to go, but it's something.

I decided to throw Kaidynn a mermaid, under the sea, style birthday party. We were going to do it at Kamron's house, because he has a pool. I was really grateful for him.

All the boys were suppose to be doing the decorations, but boys always fuck shit up. I was really hoping Makel will come through for his daughter.

I damn near invited every baby in the neighborhood. I also invited Tylar, Aubrie and Kasha. We still weren't the bestest of friends, but we communicated more and they all loved Kaidynn, so it was a must. 

I went into Kaidynn's playroom and woke her up.

"Goodmorning birthday girl" I cooed.

I gave Kaidynn a bath, dressed her in her mermaid bathing suit, and sat her in her high chair. I fixed her eggs, grits,  and crushed up bacon in a bowl and cut on Disney Junior.

I went in my room and got myself ready as well.  I wore a bathing suit similar to the color of Kaidynn's, a white cropped loose tank and ripped denim jeans. Kaidynn had one fine momma.

As soon as Kaidynn finished eating I dressed her into an outfit similar to mine. I've learned not to dress Kaidynn before she ate because she made a hot ass mess.

I yelled for my mother to let her know we were ready. When she came down stairs we all headed out.

As soon as I got to Kamron's house I walked to the backyard to inspect.

The boys did a great job decorating my baby's party.  I nodded my head in approval.

"Good Job boys!" I called out.

They all nodded in return.

Makel walked up and reached out for Kaidynn. She wiggled in my arms reaching out to him. He spoils her so much. He  kissied on Kaidynn's cheeks before turning his attention to me.

"Lauryn, looking good." Makel said winking.

I laughed.  "You better stop before Ms. Toni hear you."

"Man Toni don't run me."

"Mhm. Sure. Look ima go find Tylar and them, don't hurt my child."

"Our child you mean."

"Yeah, that." I walked inside the house and spotted Tylar, Kasha and Aubrie coming through the front door. I walked up to them.

"Hey yall!" I greeted

"Hey girl!" They said simultaneously.

I looked down at Tylar's stomach. It was forming a small bump, but nothing to noticeable. 

I looked up at her.

"No, I haven't told him if that's what you were going to ask."

"Tylar, it's been 5 months, what are you waiting on?"

"Where Kaidynn?" She asked, looking around my shoulder.

I sighed. "Out back, with her daddy.

She walked past me and went to the back sliding glass door.  I turned to Aubrie.

"What's wrong with your sister?" I asked

"I don't know. She told the two scariest people of all. My momma and daddy, so I don't understand why she can't tell Makel ass."
