We're moving.

Daddy told us today. He works for a big time engineer company that I don't know the name of and for some reason they're relocating and taking their top workers with them. Of course it was an option for daddy to move with the company and of course he took it because it's "more money in his pocket". Therefore we all have to move. I mean, I guess this is good. There's really nothing left here but a bunch of fakes.  But it is my senior year. I've lived in West Palm Beach for 13 of my 17 years on Earth, therefore this is home.

Tylar doesn't want to move because of the babies but Daddy said she can't stay here with Makel because that's unstable. I agree with him but I still feel bad for her.

School starts in three weeks and within one of those weeks we are moving and starting a new life in Houston, Texas.

I've only been to five other states in my life and three were because of cheer competitions and two because we took a vacation. We don't really vacate in the states like that. Daddy always goes all out and takes us somewhere out the country.

Moving is bittersweet for me but since I have no friends except for Tylar and Lauryn it is not like I am leaving anything behind.  I'm going to miss Lauryn and Kaidynn but I think I heard Daddy say something about keeping our house and using it for when we come back to visit. 

I walked into Tylar's room to see she was on the phone with someone, crying.  I sat on the foot of her bed causing her to look up at me.

"Who's that?" I mouthed, pointing at the phone.

"Lo" she replied simply. 

I shook my head up and down.

"I know Lauryn I'm upset too. I really hope Kaidynn remembers Mak and Junior. I don't want her to forget them." Tylar sobbed into the phone. 

Tylar was taking this move way harder than me and I could understand why.

"Yeah, we are suppose to start packing today. We're moving next week Friday.  Daddy says we're keeping this house for when we come back to visit so all we're taking is our clothes, shoes and anything else we're going to need in Houston. All the furniture is staying here."  She explained

"I asked him if I could stay here! He said yeah but you're going to have to get a job and pay some bills, so that's dead."

"Yeah, but it's fine. I wouldn't want to be here by myself anyways. That would be way too much on my hands. Makel wouldn't be able to be there all the time for Mak and Junior because of basketball."

"Yeah, we'll be there by 6"

Tylar ended her phone conversation with Lauryn and looked up at me.

"Lo wants us to come over." She said

"I heard."

"It's five now. You should get dressed and then help me with Mak and Junior"

I looked down at my ripped denim jeans and oversized Carver Cheerleading tshirt.

"Get dressed for what? It's just Lauryn's house"

"Devun is there"

I scoffed and looked at Tylar with a side eye.

"Why?" I asked with obvious attitude.

"I dunno.  Lauryn said Makel came over for Kai and brought his boys with him. KJ wanted to see Makenzee and Junior and I want to see Kaidynn and you want to see Devun so why not knock 3 birds with one stone" Tylar said grinning at my reaction
