Chapter No.145. New Hope
Always look forward, not back.
Zint, a cyan-haired enhanced sex android answered my question about how many androids were in her collective. "We had a hundred thousand."
I turned to the other rescued enhanced female androids. "How about your collectives?"
They all gave the same total, a hundred thousand. It meant that there had been at least seven hundred thousand of them in seven universes, but there could be many more in other universes, and if that were the case, it would mean that Tyco had many more in his realm than we do.
I could see the disgust in Alexa's face. "That bastard is like a sneaky snake in the grass," she said. "He's damn near impossible to squash."
"The main problem is that he designed all of this android nonsense. We just happened to have survived his initial plan of conquest. We've become a rebel collective, something like the rebels in Star Wars. Tyco is Dark Vader and I'm Luke Skywalker, although I'm not Tyco's son."
"Well, I ain't no Princess Leia," Alexa said, adding an ornery smirk.
I chuckled. "You would have made a better one."
She laughed.
We decided to defer the examination of the new android types to our original androids with Molly's help. They would purge any Tyco code from them and assign them to duties on various vessels, including ours.
In the meantime, the next order of business was to start the construction of our new ship, which would be designated Intrepid-1. The skeleton of the new vessel was already completed, and the double layered hull was being attached. As soon as it was completed, Molly, Alex, Alexa and I would begin assembling the engines and associated equipment inside it.
The sheer size of the new vessel dwarfed our current vessels. It was impressively huge and dominating. I hoped that it would intimidate any further Tyco attack, but that would have to be left to chance. There was no way to predict his attacks.
The good thing about being an android is that one could function at full capacity for an extended period. There was no need to sleep or rest. However, I decided that it was best that we break for supper and a rest period before continuing.
After the communal supper, the command group and I teleported to the hidden chamber to relax and discuss the day's happenings.
"Are we going to rescue the other members of the new additions' collectives?" Marie asked.
"We won't start that until we've constructed the new vessel. I think that Tyco wants us to go after the rest of his androids so that he can attack us. The other problem is that we don't really know how many androids he has in how many universes."
"Won't the remaining members of those collectives die because of neglect?" Uma asked.
"That's possible, but our androids believe that they could survive a long time in suspension. There is no possible biological death. It all has to do with the condition of their positronic brains, which can survive long periods of inactivity."
"We're going to need many more vessels if there are that many more androids out there," Margaret said.
"Yes, and that's the reason we have to finish the current protype and test it."
"What about the new intrusion system that the Roamers gave us?" Helen asked. "Will it keep us free of Tyco attacks?"
"It's actually a more advanced shielding system that can deflect energy blasts and block any quantum attacks. As soon as we've tested it thoroughly, it will be installed on all of our vessels."
"I've heard that these new androids are an advanced model," Alicia said. "Are you going to add them to our group?"
"I was thinking about doing that. They not only are physically more advanced they have improved positronic brains."
"If that's the case, they could represent a threat to our dominance," Molly said. "Maybe that's Tyco's way to defeat us."
"I thought of that," I said. "So, Alexa and I have initiated an upgrade to our positronic brains. We should be up to the new level in day or so. Then, I will add a representative from each of the new types to our group."
"What does the new update do?" Barney asked.
"It improves our thought processes, which in our case means that we can think faster by processing much more data in a given time. It will also improve our ability to react faster to any threat. Other than that, you won't notice much from it."
"It also improves our ability to keep emotions from taking us over," Alexa said. "I think we should welcome that improvement because the last thing we want is to stop using logic."
"Will we still like to have fun?" Alicia asked.
"We will actually be enhanced for pleasure. These new androids are advanced sex models."
"Oh my!" Barney said. "That sounds rather exciting."
We laughed.
The new enhancements began to take us over by the next day. It was soon obvious that we looked sexier than we did. I was concerned that others would notice that and demand the same upgrade, but that didn't happen. Everybody seemed to ignore our transformations, which was a good thing because we had lots of work to do to get our new vessel up and running.
Just installing the new engines and associated equipment required several days work. We had to carefully build the antimatter-matter mix chamber and the energy convertors and then assemble them. As strong and functional that we were, this work taxed us, especially working in zero gravity.
An army of androids kept busy assembling the other parts of the vessel. The new vessel had twenty-five decks and each deck had plenty of parts. Their construction activity mimicked a beehive.
In our case, being sexually enhanced didn't seem to matter. We were too exhausted after a day's work to engage in sex or even think about it.
We gathered in the hidden pool chamber and some of us relaxed by swimming in the pool. Eventually, all of the command staff joined in.
Afterwards, we sat around sipping on wine that the androids had provided for us.
"I'm not sure that I like being in an enhanced body," Alicia said. "It makes me feel weird."
"I know what you mean," Marie said, cupping her breasts. "Our boobs are even larger than before."
"What the hell good are they?" Helen asked. "We don't have children to suckle on them."
"You will . . . eventually," Molly said. She swiveled her head to look at all the females. "You will be able to give birth as soon as we're sure it's safe."
"Are we allowed to choose who impregnates us?" Tiana asked.
"Absolutely!" Marie said.
They laughed.
"I'm not sure how having a baby is even possible," Uma said.
"All three of us did it. It's not that bad," Molly said. "The pain is minimal."
"Who would have thought that an android could gestate a baby," Helen said.
"We all had that same thought," I said. "Actually, the ability was built into the android design."
"Not to change the subject, but what are we going to do next?" Alex asked.
"I think we should go to one of the universes where these new android types were found and see if there is any more of them there."
That idea sounded dangerous, but it was the next step in permanently destroying Tyco.
"I have a couple of former humans that might be able to help us," Molly said.
We turned to her with signs of anticipation showing our new beautiful faces.
