You screamed as you were thrown over the gunwale and off the ship.

"Help! Help!" You shouted, counghing on saltwater that you'd swallowed because you tried to speak amongst the rough waves.

On the deck, you saw Ifera standing at the
Gunwale. She was shaking her heard at you sadly. "Help me, Ifera!!" You sputtered between coughs.

Thunder boomed around you and you screamed as another wave crashed down on you.

The wave pushed you beneath the surface before you could suck in a breath. Without any air you began to sink into the cold and, for some reason, you didn't fight. You just let the water pull you down.

But something below you caught your attention. You looked down to see what you had assumed to be the sea floor far below move. The deep purply red of the thing covered the entirety of what was below you and the ship, so you thought it was safe to assume.

How wrong you were.

The thing moved suddenly, and now you found yourself staring into a great yellow eye. You screamed, but your scream was drowned out by a deep booming voice that echoed all around you in the cold water.

"Ego adducere mortem!" The voice boomed And then suddenly it's echoes were everywhere, yet somehow they were louder than the initial boom.

"Ego adducere mortem!"

"Ego adducere mortem!"

"Ego adducere mortem!"

The fourth time the voice said the words, your brain finally registered it as Latin. As soon as you realized it was Latin though, you shuddered.

It was a warning. An omen.

That much you could tell, but the cold water made your brain foggy as you struggled to translate it's meaning.

The minute you realized what it meant, the echoes went silent.

"I bring death."

You sat up from your bed in the infirmary quickly, taking deep breaths as the realization that it was a dream hit you. Yeosang was still sound asleep on the bed across the room. You sighed in relief, happy that you hadn't woken him.

Your mind wandered back to the terrifying yellow eye in your dream and you shuddered, realizing there was no way you could get back to sleep now. You got up from the bed quietly, crossing the room and slipping silently out the door.

The main deck was empty as you stepped out onto it. None of the crew were anywhere in sight at this time of night. Using the moon as your source of light, you walked over to the gunwale and peered over the edge. The waves below were surprisingly calm and this reassured you once more that it had only been a dream.

You let out a deep breath as you relaxed onto the gunwale, leaning on the darkly tinted wood happily. You didn't want to admit it, but the Long Journey was a comfort to you, In the now four days that you had been conscious aboard. There was a slight breeze, which blew your hair into your face. But the wind also blew the sound of soft snores from the crow's nest to your ears.

You looked up to see a figure slouched over, fast asleep. You chuckled to yourself as you recognized the red streaks in his hair. He must've been tired after today's ordeals. You knew you were. There had been a bit of a fight between some members of the crew and it had caused quite the stir. You and San had had to wrangle the two apart, which had ended with a black eye for San. You though had managed to avoid any injuries and instead just been very tired. But—unfortunately for you—a nightmare had made quick work of your much anticipated night's rest.
