•D O M I N I C•

While we were at the mall today, Mikey and Adam showed up. Why would they just drop by in public. Usually they stop by the house for no reason. What we talked about was important, but I don't think it was needed immediately.

I see the boys standing a few cars down. Mikey nods at me signaling we need to talk. I tell Felicity to go get in the car and wait for a bit while I talk to some friends.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" I ask, confused as to why they just showed up.

"Tracked ya phone." Mikey says calmly. I'm not surprised.

"Well I coulda figured that out but is there something we need to talk about?" I say, looking between Adam and Micheal.

"We know that you're technically here to finish your high school education and finish the mission, but I think you need to focus on the mission before school." Adam says.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because we think this may be harder than expected. We know that her dad has people on the inside, but we think they're higher up than we were expecting." Mikey points out.

"Oh crap. Like chief or even higher than that?" I say, contemplating what to do.

"We think he has people that's a chief and lower, but not only in this town, the whole county." Mikey continues.

"And I think he might be smarter than we originally thought also." Adam chimes in.

"Okay. Umm, we'll work on this. I'll keep her safe and do as much digging as I can without her getting suspicious and you guys do some online digging? Try to find out anything and everything." I say as I start backing up.

"Okay. Bye." Mikey and Adam both say.

"See ya later, boys."

Okay. I need to try and get her to talk. Remembering what she told me yesterday, I shoot Mikey and Adam a quick text.

Dominic
"So far all I have is that it's been going on since she was 10 and it happens a minimum of 5 times a month"

Mikey
"Jeez okay. We'll figure this out soon"

Adam
"Yeah we're on it. Mikey is looking online and I'm going to have a little look around his house"

I sigh and put down my phone and Felicity looks at me, confused I think.
She looks at me for a few more seconds but shakes her head and goes back to work.

"You alright?" I ask her.

"Yeah totally." She's clearly lying.

"Do you expect me to believe that?" I laugh a little, "seriously, I've been called a human lie detector before." This time she laughs.

"Okay, I wanna know who you were texting." I look at her, a little shocked she wanted to know about my private life. "It's not because I'm jealous or anything, it's because you seem stressed about it."

"Don't worry about me, Love, I'm not stressed about anything right now. I couldn't care less if I tried." She looks at me for a little, probably debating if she should believe me or no, but she does.

She nods her head and smiles. "You best not be lying to me." I laugh a little and smile back at her. That was a little too close for comfort. What if she reads my texts? I can't delete them though, I'm not allowed.

"Why don't we go get some dinner?" Changing the subject is always a good idea.

"Yeah sure. Can we get Thai?" She asks very excitedly. I let out a laugh and nod my head. I've been laughing a lot more than usual with her.

She jumps up and grabs my hand, yanking me towards the front door. I stumble a little as she pulls me so fast. She lets out an excited squeal as we get in the car.

Once we finally get home, we dig in. We decided to just do takeout, for safety precautions. Well that's my reasoning, but she doesn't know that. I hope.

I watch her as she eats happily. It's like she hasn't eaten in years, but I know that isn't true. She is skinny, but not that small.

I can't wait to finally save this girl.
