The school day was oddly boring without Dominic. I didn't expect to miss him as much as I do. I didn't expect to be thinking about him almost every minute of the day. I even went to the bathroom just to text him.
Felicity
'Heyyyyyyy. I'm boreddd'A few minutes later my phone dings and I look at it with a smile.
Dominic
'I thought you were supposed to be the good student. The one who never goes on her phone during class.'I can basically see the smirk on his face as he texts me. I wonder what he's doing anyway. He was really secretive about it.
Felicity
'Oh shut up. What do you expect me to do when I don't have you to annoy during physics?'I sigh as I wait another few minutes for him to answer. I get another text and go to answer expecting it to be Dom, but just to my luck it wasn't.
Dad
'I'll be waiting for you after school.'I start hyperventilating at the thought. The teacher tries to ask if I'm okay but I can't breath. She tells me to go to the nurse and I do. I'm walking through the hall, slower than I'd like but I can't see straight. I finally get to the office and sit on the crappy little bed. The nurse rushes over and tries to help me with breathing techniques. When that doesn't work she pulls out a spare inhaler from a drawer and tell me how to use it. I do so and eventually calm.
"Is there anyone to call? You're mother or father to come get you?" She asks me with a small smile.
"No it's okay. My dad would kill me if I left school early." Not exactly the reason he'll kill me but close enough.
"Okay are you sure? Why don't you stay in here for a little while you calm down." I just nod at her and she walks out of the room.
I pull my phone out and call Dominic. I am relying on him more than I like but I do feel safe with him.
"Hello, Love? What's up!" He says cheerfully through the phone.
"He's here." I whisper, scared anyone will hear me, "or at least he will be at the end of the day."
"Don't worry, Love, I'll be there. I'll be waiting by your locker and everything." I smile a little as I take deep breaths. "Now get back to class and I'll see you soon."
I nod my head, then laugh at myself a little when I think about the fact that he can't see me. "Okay I'll see you soon."
I hang up and start my journey back to class, wasting as much time as possible.
I go through the day, sort of numbly. Numb with fear. I walk into sixth period, I'll be fine. Dom will be waiting by my locker and he'll protect me. I know he will. I believe that he will.
The teacher drones on about grams and kilograms. I'll figure out what to do later, right now is time for stressing. The bell finally rings and I decide to take my time, hoping he'll get impatient and just leave. As I walk toward my locker, I see Dom in front of it pacing around like a crazy person. He looks up and his eyes set on me. He instantly relaxes and stops moving. He rushes over to me and engulfs me in a big hug. I laugh and hug him back. We go to my locker and I grab the things I need and drop the things I don't.
We walk out of the building and I see my dad leaning against his car. He sees me and smiles at me. He looks at Dom and his smile falters. He walks over and smiles evilly at me, while glaring at Dominic.
"Come on Felicity, it's time to come home." He says to me.
"I, uh I have plans with Dominic, though." I say, clearly panicking.
"Is this the boy that kidnapped you?" He glares at Dom, but Dom's confidence doesn't falter. "I'll call the cops on him right now and tell them that he kidnapped you."
"What is wrong with you?" Dom asks out of the blue. "You can't just go around calling the cops on people for no reason. We were working on a school assignment and we accidentally fell asleep at my place."
Wow he's a good liar. "I promise, that is exactly what happened. I'll come home right now." As much as I don't want to go home. I can't let Dom get arrested for something he didn't do.
I glance up at Dom to see him look at me with confusion and a little bit of anger. I mouthed the words 'I'm sorry' to him and walk to my dad's car.
"I have a client that'll be over in a few minutes so you better behave." He growls at me. I nod my head, too scared to speak.
We walk in the front door and I sit in the couch. Not even three minutes later, there's a knock on the front door. A man walks in and he looks familiar but I guess he has been here before.
