Chapter 13: Sneak Attack

Ben's POV:
I remember laying in the bed and talking with Erica. After a while we got up and put our black suits on so we made as little noise as possible when we prepared to attack. I had the special gun that I got along with all the other gadgets, and so did Erica. We had our utility belts and weapons on the table by the door, though Erica probably had some spare weapons still on her. I'd gotten into bed and Erica followed. I smiled a little.

"What?" She asked.

"I did it. I thawed the Ice Queen." She blushed.

"Now hold up, am I not allowed to sleep with my boyfriend? Because I'm pretty sure that it's not a crime." I laughed and her face turned a deeper red. 

"Well I'm not 16 so I'm pretty sure it is."

"I meant like sleep in the same bed you dingus."

"I know. It's just very rare to catch you off guard, even now. So, I gotta savor them."

She fake pouted.

"I'm sorry E. I was just kidding. I love you."

She rolled over and faced away from me. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her close to me. She put her arms on mine and looked back at me. She had a huge grin on her face.

"I love you too Ben."

We fell asleep just like that and I really wish we could have stayed that way. 

Unfortunately we had to get up and go murder some bad guys. That sounded really bad, and it was. We put our utility belts and shoes on. We both wore black hoodies over our suits so we could mostly cover out faces and blend into the shadows. We grabbed our weapons and put our airpods in.

We started to walk out when Erica put a hand on my shoulder. "Ready?"

"Ready as I'll get."

"Then let's get it over with and get the hell out of here."

We walked out and to the door. I picked the lock and we carefully walked in to the first room. There were 3. All to the right of our room. We'd have to take them out quickly so they couldn't alert the others. There were 3 in this room. We had put silencers on our guns before we went to bed. We snuck in and I shot one right in the heart while Erica shot the other 2. We checked their pulses. 

Dead. All of them.

3 down, 7 to go.

We watched as their bodies disintegrated and disappeared. 

We walked to the next room and snuck in. 3 more. I shot 2 and Erica shot the other one.

Dead. All of them.

6 down, 4 to go.

We watched as their bodies disintegrated and disappeared. 

We snuck to the last room and each shot one before we realized 2 were missing. There were only 2 in sight.

Dead. All of them.

8 down, 2 to go.

We watched as their bodies also disintegrated and disappeared. 

But where were the other 2?

We found out soon enough. One jumped out at Erica and they started to fight. Everything was dark and we couldn't see. I started to look around the suite to find the last one. I almost gave up, when someone jumped on my back. I almost thought it was Erica but I couldn't smell lilacs and gunpowder. Just sweat. 

Welp. Found 'em.

Cliff-hanger! Sorry, but since I'm nice, I'll write one more today. It will also be short. I'm sorry that the action chapters kinda suck, but I'm doing my best. Also, I realized I was stretching it too much and it would be 5 terrible and short chapters, so instead of 20, there will only be 15. That means it'll be a triple update today, there's one more chapter left after today, and I hope you like it so far :)
