"Ashli. Hey, wait up," I hear a familiar very Australian voice say as I walk to my next class.
I turn around and see Ashton grinning at me.
"Hi Ashton," I say, smiling genuinely at him. It's nice to have someone that I sort of know here with me.
"What is your next class?" he asks, while people walk around us in the hallway.
"Uh, it says 'Maths', so I guess math," I reply, checking the paper that has my schedule on it. "You?"
"I have literature now, but then I have biology. What do you have after maths?" he asks, and he pokes his head over to look at my schedule.
I look at the sheet in my hand and it says my third class is biology also. "I have biology, too," I say.
"Great, I will see you then," he says, grinning and turns to walk away. He looks back over his shoulder and gives me a little wave, and I give him one in return.
I turn and walk to the classroom at the end of the long hallway, and find a seat in the back of my 'Maths' class.
When the teacher stands up in the front of the classroom, the room goes silent and everyone finds a seat.
