                    Laurel Pratt
The bar they were both at was pretty plain but very real. It was fresh and original. It was an empire style bar and had an outdoor grill and restaurant.  Laurel wasn't much of a drinker, she loved herself and getting wasted was the last thing in her pretty mind but this night was different. All she wanted was to leave behind every memory of Ken in that bar. She wanted to be different yet the same. She wasn't the type that said 'men are trash' but Ken had really changed her perspectives on every guy she was going to set her eyes on.

" Anna let's go, this isn't helping at all!" Laurel mumbled as she tried to raise up her bored body
Anna gave her a sad look. Laurel didn't deserve to go through this. She was the smartest being the she had known in her entire life. The world was a terrible place...or were thr people in it?
"Let's wait for the band, they may play one of your favourites." Anna tried to convince her. " She knew Ann's love for music but wasn't quite sure if it would help at the moment.
" I hate being your best friend. I know you know that. " Laurel said giving Anna the smile she was yearning for. She obviously couldn't say no. It was her bestie!
Five minutes later,a group of five guys walked in. They were a perfect work of God's creation. Anna was melting to her feet.

" Dude, look at those hotties... I'd have them all for a lifetime and live in peace handling with care all of them" Anna said as she stuck her eyes on the band.
Laurel didn't even bother giving a glance. She was focused on the glass of martini which seemed to only reflect images of Ken over and over again. She had ran out of tears and now clouds of anger floated around her face.
" Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh Laurel, he's coming, he's fucking approaching us. I'm not calm Laurel. Je ne suis pas calme Laurel !" Anna anxiously mumbled as Louis approached their table. She adjusted her outfit to give an exposure of her cleavage.
"Hey ladies, I'm Louis. " He said as he grinned at them.
" Hey" Laurel said, rolling her eyes as she focused on her almost empty glass. She wasn't interested at all in any conversation let alone social interactions.
"Hey I'm Anna but you call me Ann or Annita or any name that your gorgeous head can come up with." Anna seductively said as she couldn't get enough of this hunk
"Actually,I want you guys to stay watch our performance. We're performing Riptide by Vance Joy and High Hopes by Panic At The Disco. I hope you guys have fun. Louis politely asked ignoring Anna who seemed to be having way too much drinks.
" We will. My bestie and I will  watch you do everything, you guys are planning to do. " Anna said excitedly.
Louis wasn't.
After giving Laurel a glance he saw it better to bid them goodbye. The stage was set and his fellow members were urging him to join them.
"Goodbye Anna, goodbye..... "
" Laurel." Laurel answered back. She had reckoning on how rude she was to him.
After biding them goodbye Louis navigated his way to the stage.
Laurel gave him a stare. He was handsome.
Something in him made her stronger or was it the margaritas and martinis they'd taken. But she knew from that moment she had to be clean, clean from all the dirt painted on her by memories of Ken. And from the moment her past was her past.
"Thanks Louis. " She whispered to herself.

             Louis Flynn
They drove their way to the bar where they were set to perform. The bar was cheerful and noisy a sign of good luck for them. Louis was deep in thought. He had just received an email from his professor in regards to his consecutive poor performance. He was to meet up with the same professor on the following day. He never cared about his studies but the fact that his parents would soon be involved got him worried.

As it was their ritual, they had a 2 minute interaction session with their audience. Something they had cultured since the birth of their band. Louis spotted two ladies who weren't familiar at all. He approached them and despite seemingly being friends, they appeared to be very different. She said hi to them. One introduced herself as Anna. She was the loudest. She sounded drunk. He couldn't focus on what she was saying but her friend....
Something in her made him want to know her so bad.She was an angel from her looks. She had that innocent look that made him happy. To him, she was someone who couldn't even hurt a fly. She was a goddess of beauty full of grace and charm. Though sad her beauty was still visible in those soggy eyes. He wanted to touch her and tell her to open up. He wanted her to lie on his chest and hear breath.
" What is this feeling? " He had never felt  quite this way

He set those feelings aside. The one he was concerned about wasn't even aware of his existence. He shrugged it off and decided to bid them goodbye.  Gladly, she realised he'd been standing there for five minutes and managed to say her name. At least he wasn't invisible to her. That made him smile

He joined his bandmates as they gave a brilliant performance of Riptide by Vance Joy and High Hopes by Panic At The Disco. The audience seemed to enjoy their performance. They sang along every lyric of the songs. Satisfied, they left for their apartments but Louis wasn't the usual Louis. What was happening to him?
