Chapter 6: Happiness begins

            Anna and Laurel
Anna awaited for laurel's arrival like the second coming of Jesus. She couldn't contain her anxiety. She had developed a huge crush on Louis... No,it was more of an obsession with the magnetic force of a man since that day at the bar.

"Hey,you got to tell me every tiny second of your time with my crush. Tell me everything that happened between the two of you!" Anna queried.
" I've barely even entered the house.  Laurel said as she shoved her aside." Moreso, it's not like I had gone to do some murder investigation." Laurel reiterated.
"Ok. You know I've been thinking about him and maybe Louis is my soulmate. I've never felt this way before with any guy. You see I've been thinking ..."
" Wait girl! Soulmate? Are you even for real? You barely know the guy yet you've got wedding plans already? Stop with all this nonsense Anna." Laurel said as she smirked.

Ignoring the already irritated Laurel, Anna went on to explain her fantasies." You see, he's been all over my head lately and maybe God is using you to draw me close to him. Please bestie, I'll do anything." Anna pleaded.
Laurel was finding all this absurd. This wasn't the typical Anna she knew. They had known each other for almost two decades but this was a part of her she had never seen before. All she knew is that when Anna Keating set her mind on something, she'd find her to it no matter what it took and with Louis that wasn't going to be any different. After giving it a thought, she gave in. She promised to help Anna come close to Louis even though deep down in her heart that's not what she wanted.

"I'll help you. But if you ask me, all this is crazy and absurd." Laurel sighed
" Thank you bestie!! You know how how love makes us do crazy things."  Anna marvelled as she gave Laurel a tight hug. In her mind she knew that Louis was her end game and nothing could change that.
The two went on ahead to have dinner together. Every day was fun for them. They talked about everything and sometimes even nothing , how they had faired on during the day and some other stuff.
That's when Anna asked Laurel;
" Will you go to the bootcamp next weekend? "
" I don't know yet, maybe. Are you?"
" No. We're having a having family reunion"
" I don't think I'll go. I'll just stay home and work on something"
" Shut the fuck up. You'll have to go whether you like it or not girl. Go relax. You need.
Laurel knowing very well she couldn't win against Anna. She gave up and shrugged it off and just said " I'll think about it."

        Louis, Owen and Carlos

" Look who's here! We were starving bro." Carlos exclaimed as Louis arrived. Though hungry,he seemed excited for no reason.
" What's up with you bro? Why the weird excitement?
" Well we saw you leave early after practice today, where did you head to?"
" I went to see someone." Louis answered blantly as he unpacked the McDonald's he had bought for supper. He was happy with himself that day for sure. Somehow after meeting Laurel, there was a ray of hope that his grades may go up, something he never saw coming.

" Looks like the sex was good. I can see the smile on your face." Carlos teased as he gobbled down some fries.
" Could you shut that butthole of a mouth before I smack your ass right now. Your dirty minded head always think everything is about sex 24/7 " Louis grumbled.
Even though he tried to hide it it was obvious he was happy. Laurel gave some type of energy that made him feel positive about everything. He felt inspired to soar higher
. " And what's up with you guys hanging out together lately? Are you planning some type of murder that I don't know of?" Louis tried to divert the attention from him.
" Don't change the conversation. We know you're having something good that we don't of yet. But we'll find out soon enough. " Carlos eventually gave up. He knew that Louis had changed for sure but he didn't want to divulge much pressure onto him.
" 'coz you decided to mind my business, I'll mind yours too. What's going on with the both of you? " Louis asked. The two had seemed inseparable lately. "Are you guys dating or something?" Louis joked.
" We're study buddies." Owen quickly muttered.
" Yes, we've decided to study hard before we do the finals " Carlos seconded knowing very well that's not true.
" Ok. That's smart of you guys. "
" By the way bro, will you attend the bootcamp next week? " Carlos remembered suddenly.
" I don't know yet. I'll see to it. "
"Ok. Owen and I will go. We can share a ride"
All the three finished up with eating and retired to sleep. But something that was really obvious; Louis Flynn was happy, something he rarely felt.
