Hey! Another chapter is here let's do as always; vote, comment and share. That makes me happy. I'm grateful for everything. Love you

Laurel and Louis

They had both agreed to have their first study session at the school cafeteria. Laurel had high hopes. Louis on the other side was barely interested. Louis hated studying. If it were not for his parents strictness,he would right now be somewhere doing what he loved most; music.

Louis' childhood wasn't that bad neither wasn't it good. He had grown to hate his parents who had a very toxic and abusive relationship. In his younger years,he would find himself being on the receiving end of their chaos. He had received wounds as a result of their fights. Times like that he'd seek refuge at his grandfather's. His dad was a retired professional boxer while his mum was a former high school teacher turned drug addict. Seeing all the mess that went on around his family made Louis hate his family even more. Lucky for him, his late grandfather had left him a trust fund. He had a great relationship with his grandfather, to him, he was his safe haven.

Laurel arrived at the agreed spot 10 minutes earlier. She was a time freak. Upon arrival, she ordered for two lemonades praying and hoping that Louis will love her kind gesture. Laurel made sure that she was set,she arranged the necessary study materials, went through her notes and made sure that the atmosphere was serene and conducive. She was dedicated in whatever that she did. In her mind, settling for nothing but the best, was what made her push herself even more. But somehow,it was both her weakness and her strength. After all that, she knew that she had Anna who wouldn't settle for nothing less than a sweet gossip. Anna had developed a huge crush on Louis something that wasn't a surprise to Laurel. She knew how obsessed Anna could get but obviously it was seasonal.
Laurel was patient human. Even though she didn't like it,she knew that Louis was in a band that way, there was a some chance that he'll be late. 30 minutes later, Louis was no where to be seen. Laurel was starting to grow impatient. She had some other stuff to do and Louis wasn't going to interfere with them. She decided to text Anna and tell her that Louis had stood her up
Hey,he stood me up. I'm done!
Just give him some 5 mins. He might pop up
Ok. If he won't be here in 5 I'm done.
Ok. Good luck. Love u
Love u too

No sooner had she texted that than Louis arrived. He seemed to be super exhausted and worn out.

"I'm sorry." He said as he tried to pull out that apologetic face.
" You know I was giving up on you. If you know you'll be late tell me in advance." Laurel said as she rolled her eyes. She was obviously mad but that look in his face made her forgive him.
"It won't happen again. If you want we can exchange numbers so that we can communicate." Louis said politely. He knew it was his fault and it was on him to find a solution.
" Ok, lemme save my number on your phone. "

The two exchanged numbers and went on to studying. Laurel wasn't hard to teach. Louis on the other hand wasn't the one to understand easily. All in all, Laurel was determined to bring the best out of Louis. It was already six o'clock when Louis checked his phone.

"Shit, it's getting late already. I think we should go have dinner. " Louis appealed. From the look of her face,he went on ahead to say " if it's okay with you"
Laurel gave it a thought and decided to join him.
The two drove to the nearest café. The place wasn't that packed. After eating Louis insisted on paying for both their meals,he at least wanted to make up for wasting her time. Though adamant about it, Laurel accepted the offer.

"You know what, I've never had fun studying like I have today. Thank you." Louis confessed. It was true. Somehow he didn't regret studying with her.
"It's okay. Try to get better. I'll always be here for you incase you need assistance." Laurel assured her. Laurel was happy that at least her efforts weren't futile.
After walking her home, Laurel insisted that he should text her upon his arrival. Louis true to his word, texted back;
Arrived safely. Thanks for your time and help. Sorry for being late.

Laurel replied;it's nothing thanks for dinner and walking me home.
The least I could. Have a lovely night Louis Flynn
Goodnight too Laurel. Sweet dreams

And it was on that day on a Monday,we watched it all begin again.
