Journey To The Mist

- 3rd Person POV-

Over the course of a few weeks, Squad 7 has been doing simple missions around the village, much to Naruto's dismay. Unfortunately, (Y/n) was out on an important mission. Currently Kakashi and his team are out on a mission to capture a missing cat.

-Kakashi's POV-

I've been stuck with these three for almost a whole week, while (Y/n) was out doing an A-ranked mission. They've almost driven me completely insane.

For the first couple of days, all Naruto did was mope around because 'Pretty Lady-Sensei left him here to do boring missions with an old man.' Sakura seemed down in the dumps because she was stuck with 'an old man who's always late and a clown'. Sasuke's attitude was worse than normal.

I, on the other hand, am shocked that they already chose a favorite and because they haven't figured out that I'm not even that old. In fact, I'm only 3 years older than (Y/n).

[A/N: Okay I know that Kakashi is 27 in part 1, but I'm just going to say he's 25 while Y/n is 22.]

"Sasuke. Point B"

"Sakura. Point C"

...

"Naruto. I'm at point A, believe it"

I inhaled and let out a soft sight, "You're slow, Naruto" I said, not really surprised. I kept hidden and watched the cat intently. "The cat is on the move!" I said reporting back through the headpiece. "How far are you from the target?" I asked. "5 meters. I'm ready" Naruto said. "Now!" I said, giving the signal.

"I got it! I got it!" Naruto reported back, informing me that he caught the cat. "Do we have a clear identification?" "Affirmative." "Mission complete."

~Time Skip~

-3rd Person POV-

Squad 7 made their way to the Academy to return the cat and then to the Hokage's office to report back. "Stupid cat.. I HATE CATS!!" Naruto complained as the cat continued to scratch him. They eventually gave the cat back to the lady and of course Naruto laughed at the cat's misfortune.

Once they were finished their business there, they made their way to the Hokage's office. When they entered, they saw the hair of somebody they knew all too well, "Pretty Lady (Y/n)-Sensei!!" "(Y/n)-Sensei!"

The woman turned around and smiled at them. "Hey you guys!" She said before Sakura tackled her into a hug, "It was horrible!! Please don't leave me with that old man and that clown again. I can't take it!" the girl said dramatically causing (Y/n) to giggle. "That bad huh? Well as of right now, I'm back with the team and I promise you, you won't be the only girl anymore. And to make it up, how about you and I meet up with the other girls and have a Girls Day when we're finished with our mission?" (Y/n) asked as she pat Sakura on the head.

Sakura's eyes lit up, "Okay (Y/n)-Sensei!" the pink haired girl lit up with excitement.

Kakashi stared at the woman in front of him and he was so glad she was okay and so glad that she was back. The said woman looked back up at Kakashi and giggled, "I can tell you missed me too. Did they stress you out?" she asked with some muse laced in her voice. "You wouldn't believe what they put me through. All of the dramatics. All because they missed you." Kakashi said, giving (Y/n) a closed eye smile.

-Y/N's POV-

Now that everyone has calmed down, Lord Hokage began listing off some more D-ranked missions. I could tell all of them, especially Naruto, wanted better missions and I couldn't blame them. "Now, for Squad 7's next mission, we have several tasks that are available. Among them is babysitting the chief counselor's 3-year-old, helping his wife do the shopping, digging up potatoes, and - -" man these missions are a bore.
