Sakura's Training Begins

-Sakura's POV-

(Y/n)-Sensei and I were finally finished with guarding for the day and we were on our way back to Tazuna's. I think this might be my chance to finally ask her to train me! When I watched her in that sparring match with Kakashi-Sensei and her fight with Zabuza, I was in awe. She really is strong and super skilled; I just know with her training, she can help me become stronger and she can train me to be just like her. A great kunoichi.

"Hey, (Y/n)-Sensei, I was wondering if you could train me." I asked nervously. I don't know why I'm so nervous. She's just one of my senseis.

"Huh? You want me to train you?" She asked as she looked ahead. "Y-yeah. I was wondering if you could train me. You're a really strong kunoichi and during the fight with Zabuza, I saw the fire you had in you and I want to be just like you!" I said explaining part of my reasoning.

"Also, during that fight with Zabuza and also the one with the chunin from the Hidden Mist, I felt so useless. All of you were fighting and I was just standing there being useless. Please train me, Sensei." I pleaded softly as I looked at the ground.

She stopped walking and placed a hand on my head. "Sakura, I would love to train you. Just know that it won't be easy, but I promise I will help you become a great shinobi." She said with a very kind smile.

I smiled widely, very excited that one of the best is training me. "How about when we get to the clearing by Tazuna's we start off with something basic." (Y/n) Sensei said with a smile as we waked side by side.

~Small Time Skip~

-3rd Person POV-

After a while, the two females of Squad 7 made it back to Tazuna's to see that the boys were still going at it strong with their training. (Y/n) and Sakura watched them for a few minutes before moving further away from the boys so they could start their own training.

"Okay Sakura, we're starting with the basics today. Before we start anything else, we're going to figure out what your chakra affinity is," (Y/n) told the young girl as she took out a piece of paper.

(Y/n) placed the piece of paper in between her fingers and it crinkled. "You see, when I infused my chakra into this paper, it crinkled. This shows what my chakra affinity is. As you know, I'm a lightning user and I also mastered fire style. My primary affinity is lightning since that was the one I was born with." The woman said as she grabbed another piece of litmus paper.

"If the paper lights and turns to ash, you have a fire affinity. If it slices in half, it's wind. If it's lightning, the paper will wrinkle. If it turns to dirt and crumbles, then your affinity is earth. Finally, if it gets wet and soggy, it's water." The jonin said simply.

She placed the paper in between Sakura's middle and pointer finger. She then instructed the young girl to focus her chakra to the paper and when she did, it got wet and soggy. "Hmm, it looks like you've got a water affinity. I can't really teach you a jutsu that incorporates that chakra nature, but I can still teach you." (Y/n) said with a smile on her face.

"That's so cool! What are we going to do next, (Y/n)-Sensei!?" the young girl asked with very clear excitement, causing the older woman to chuckle. "Slow down Sakura, we just learned what your affinity was and I can't really teach you any jutsu that incorporates a water transformation. But I can teach you some other things."

Sakura eventually calmed down and nodded, "Okay, what are you going to teach me?" the pinkette asked curiously.

"Since you're good at chakra control, we're going to work on that. I want you to try and perfect it. You remember that one time I punched the ground and it practically broke? I'm going to teach you that. It's simple yet very affective." The woman said with a smirk.
