Mike and I were walking to his house when he asked
"You know I've never seen you date a boy.."
"I don't like boys" I mumble
"what?"
"See you tomorrow at school" I rushed to get out the forest
"I thought we were going to play d&d" he shouts

I can't let no one know, everyone is so close-minded and won't accept it.

At school, mike didn't show up for the first period and was late for second
Something was up

"My house after school" mike finally says and runs off
"Weird" will says
After school we biked back to mikes house, Lucas and Dustin were the only ones talking
Mike and will stayed quiet

As we enter the basement we say El.
I froze and I could tell Will did too
We have never seen her,

She looked horrible, her head was still shaved and her clothes were damped.
"El this is Will and y/n"
Will got close to her, he was examining her
"Thank you... for everything"
El nodded and looked at me,
she stood up from the couch and walked towards me, she was indeed beautiful, she looked so innocent
I looked at her, she was wearing men clothes and the sweatpants were extremely oversized
It even looked like she peed herself...

"Come with me," I asked her
"Are you crazy! She can't leave"mike jumped in
"Where," she asked confused
"To get you clean"
"I don't think that's a good idea" Lucas agreed with Mike
"You guys don't know what she needs!...
I promise she will be safe with me" I assured them
"you have to bring her back before midnight "
I nodded
"Just be safe" mike looked at el, in a way I have never seen him look at anyone before.
He looked so sure of her, so overprotective
"Here" I handed her my sweater

I didn't live far from Mike, only 3 blocks away.
I made sure no one was looking at us, at anything suspicious

I didn't have to worry about anyone being home, my brother is a senior and is always out with his friends and my parents are on a 3-week trip.

She looked fascinated
"Your parents?" She asked
"They're not here, don't worry"
I brought her upstairs to my room
First things first, I need to check if my theory was right.
I brought her to my restroom
"Are you on your period?" I asked her
she looked confused
"is blood coming out?"
She looked at me wide-eyed
"how-how do you know"
I pulled out a pack of pads and showed her
"It's normal to have periods, it happens to me too"
She looked relieved
"This is a pad, you put it so it's doesn't stain your pants" I opened one for her
I rushed back to my room and got out a pack of underwear my mom had gotten me but I hated it so never worn any.
"Here" I handed her the clean underwear
"Don't worry, it's clean"
I taught her how to put the pad on and left her alone so she could do it.

I went thru my closet to look for something she will probably like, I hated wearing dresses and only had one in my parent's room
I offered it to El with other different types of clothes
"you.." she pointed at the clothes I had on
"Like this ?"
She nodded.
I grabbed an outfit that looked like mines
I found the smallest pair of jeans I had, she looked thinner than me.
I gave her a shirt that had a rainbow on the sleeves.
I offered her a pair of vans and a new sweater. To my surprised, it fits perfectly.
I could tell her and I will get along

The bike back to Mike's house was easier
Mike instantly hugged El
"You see, she's safe," I say
Mike takes out the wig she used to wear
I helped her put it on
"You see, always pretty" I wrapped  my arms around her shoulders and hugged her
"Thank you" she hugged me back.

"Where have you been?" they all asked her
"... Kali is looking for me "
"Who," I ask
"Number eight, my sister"

We all look at each other, she already knew she was here once
"Michael!" Mrs.wheeler screams
Mike runs up the stairs
"She could come with me," I ask
"Too risky," Dustin says
"She's here!" 
"We need to go!" Mike opens the basement door
"I can't leave"
"I need to see her"
"She's want to hurt you" mike screams
"Make sure she's safe" Mike whispers to me

The door swings open and a girl comes in
The boys got on her way
Blocking her from getting to el
"She doesn't want to hurt me! El says again

I yanked el out the basement
"Let's go" we started running

"What does she want?" I ask
"I don't know..."
