INT. THE QUIET LOUNGEROOM – 5 MINUTES LATER
GRAYSON comes back into the room. He is shivering from being outside. He doesn't have a drink in his hand. Abby is on her phone, relaxing on the couch. As soon as she sees him, she jumps up, excited. She has definitely had too much to drink.
ABBY
Hey! I was wondering where you got to! Where's
the drinks? And why are you so cold?
Grayson is quiet, he sits down on the couch. Sensing that something is wrong Abby sits down with him, taking his hands in hers. Grayson pulls his hand away.
GRAYSON
Abby, listen. There is something that I
need to tell you. I have been doing
some thinking and I don't think we
should be together anymore.
Abby gasps and jumps off the couch.
ABBY
You want to break up?!
The other people in the room go silent and watch them.
GRAYSON
Abby, I'm sorry... please just let me explain...
ABBY
Grayson, we have been together for 4 days!
4 days! And you want to break up? Are you
crazy?
GRAYSON
I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt you. I
rushed into this too fast...
Abby is starting to get slightly hysterical now. The other people in the room are silently watching.
ABBY
Hang on, this is about Lola isn't
it? You still like her. You want to
go back to her!
GRAYSON
No, Abby...
ABBY
Don't lie to me! Don't think that I
haven't seen you glancing at her at
school. Even just then, while we were
in the main room, you couldn't keep
your eyes off her. Yeah, I saw you!
You completely did me over!
Grayson opens his mouth to defend himself, but Abby is too quick.
ABBY (con't)
You know what. I'm going to go,
there is no point in hanging
around here with a lying cheater.
She marches out. Everyone else in the room, stands there silently in disbelief of what just went down. Grayson is now the one left alone on the couch.
