"Bentley?" The unfamiliar face snapped me out of a trance as I sat in the uncomfortable chair. "Are you ready to go."
"Yeah. It's just Lane, though. Or really anything except Bentley." I replied.
"Ok!" He said enthusiastically.
I gave my social worker a hug, knowing I had to pretend to like her so that she could have a success story.
But that was 5 years ago, in May 2015. I was 11 then, and now I'm 16. I got adopted when I was 11, after being in foster care for 4 years. Oh yeah, and I was adopted by Shane Dawson. He's a YouTuber.
But since then, it grew from just me and my dad to me, my dad, Ryland, and our animals. There was never any issue when Ryland moved in. He always loved me like I was his kid, and he let my dad do the actual parenting which I appreciated.
So yeah, this is my life.
