Ang 'To do list' ni Amelia

Pinagmamasdan ko si Amelia habang natutulog ngayon na payapa at may naka kubling ngiti sa mga labi nito.
Habang pinagmamasdan siya ng aking mga matang lumuluha ay siya ring pagbalik ng mga alaala niya sa nakaraang limang araw, kung saan tinupad naming magkasama ang bagay na gusto niyang gawin sa kahulihulihan ng kaniyang buhay.

'Aries'. Tawag niya sa akin. 'Meron akong limang gustong gawin Aries pwede mo ba akong tulungan?'. Tanong niya.

'Oo naman, ikaw pa malakas ka sa boyfriend mo eh'. Sabi ko sa kaniya habang naka ngiti ng matamis.

'Bolero!' Sabi niya sabay hampas ng mahina sa balikat ko. 'Salamat Aries, kasi kahit nahihirapan ka na sa sitwasyon natin ay nadiyan ka pa din sa tabi ko'. Dagdag niya pa habang naluluha sabay yakap sa akin.

Amelia was my childhood friend when we was in Grade 1 where, she's always protecting me from bullies that time, nakakahiya mang isipin dahil imbes na ako ang promotekta sa sarili ko at sa kaniya ay siya iyong nag proprotekta sa amin until she become my girlfriend.

Amelia is still beautiful for me even her hair are gone, even her lips become pail, and she become skinny because of undergoing chemotherapy, dialysis, and Therapeutic Phlebotomy for her disease. It is so sad but a will to accept because, I love her.

'The first thing I want to do Aries is to give smiles to those childrens from the orphanage tha I was handled before'. She said. 'For a last time Aries'. She added while smiling at me.

Amelia is so kind, she even do a lot of things for the sake of the children she was handling before. She indeed making funny stuff to see the happiness of every children, like wearing a clown stuff for the last time even she was sitting in a wheelchair while doing magic tricks she knew..

'The second thing I listed Aries is to cook foods'. She said. 'To cook foods for the people living in our streets'. She added.

Amelia loves to help people out there kahit hindi niya ito kilala lalo na yung mga taong nakatira lang sa lansangan malapit sa amin. Every year she cooked foods for them and she wanted to do it again for the last time.

'Aries I want to go on a trip with you and my family'. She said. 'As my third wished to do'. She added.

Mabuti na lang dahil pinayagan kami ng doctor na lumabas at mag bonding kahit sandali lang kaya ayon masayang masaya si Amelia.
Amelia is so good in treasuring her family and me and that's why I like her so much.

'Aries I want to be with you for a whole day to do things we do before'. She said while smiling at me. 'As my fourth wished to do'. She added.

Amelia and I used to do watching horror movies, dancing, karaoke challenge, and eating our favorite halo-halo before. So that, she wanted to do it before her last moment.

'Aries'. She said calling my name. 'Are you ready for the last and fifth?'. She said while smiling bitterly.
'Yes Amelia, I am always ready for that'. I said and smiled even my knees are shivered.
'But this time Aries I want you to do it for me'. She said.
'What is it Amelia my love?'. I said then chuckled.
'I want you to forget about me'. She said while smiling even her tears are falling apart.
'Wa-why Amelia?'. I uttered.
'I want you to forget me and that makes me happy Aries'.
'Oh ghad Amelia you're being insane'.
'No Aries, it is love'. She said. 'A love that letting you go and I hope you do the same as mine'. She added while crying.
'Fvck! Amelia. I can't'.
'You should Aries'.
'No Amelia, I love you'.
'I love you too Aries'. She said. 'Then if you love me, do what I want'. She added.
'Ame-'.
'Aries, you love me right?'. She uttered. 'Making that for me makes me happy Aries'.
'Then if I do that what will happen to me Amelia?'.
'That will makes you free from me Aries'.
'I will become free Amelia but your sentiments are killing and manacles me from pain'. I said while crying so loud as her.
'Aries, sorry but you should let me go'. She said then caress my face.
'Amel-'.
'Those pains are just temporary Aries, and that can be vanish like a dirt from an old shelves for a blown of an air'. She said and smile.
'How about the memories?'.
'Memories always stabbed you like a knife twisting from your open wounds Aries, but someday those wounds will be healed'.
'How about my love for you Amelia?'. I said and cried.
'Your love is so worth it for me Aries but, it is much worth it if you give it to a woman that can love you for a long period of time'.
'Amelia I'll try'. I said. 'Can I have a last kiss and hug for a last moment Amelia my loved?'. I added then she kissed me in a blink so deeply and hugged me so tight.
'Thank you Aries'. She said. 'I'm already tired Aries, may I sleep now?'. She added.
'Yes Amelia, you go on now'.
