After class...

"Beoms let's go?" Ryujin asked.

"Sure, but let me find Tae first. I need to tell him that I'll be home late."

"Okay, I'll wait for you here."

He nodded and started to find Taehyun.

"Hey, Beom. Looking for me?" he teased.

"Yes."

"Let's go?"

"Um no." he crossed his arms.

"What? why?"

"You head to the dorm first. Me and Ryujin has to go somewhere.

"Very suspicious. You're making moves already huh?" He wiggled his eyebrows and nudged the older.

Beomgyu gave him an annoyed look as usual.

"You're talking nonsense. I'll just explain everything to you later."

"Okay. Don't do anything bad." he said, emphasising the word 'bad'.

"Shut up. I'm not that kind of person."

"I know, I'm just joking. Anyways bye and be safe you two!"

He went back to where Ryujin is and they started walking out of the campus.

...

"Ooh, I want ice cream." She pointed at the ice cream shop.

"Again?"

"What do you mean?" Ryujin gave him a look.

"We just had that last Friday."

"That's last Friday. It's another week already. That ice cream is digested."

Beomgyu gave up arguing with her and just followed her to the store. It's not like he have a choice anyways.

...

"Jinnie, I'm nervous." he nervously laughed.

"Don't be. They'll just thank you." she took a bite of her ice cream.

He gulped. He doesn't even know why he's nervous.

"Okay, we're here" she exclaimed.

...

"Sit at the couch first. I need to change. Feel at home." she said and went upstairs.

He obligated and sat down at the couch.

A couple of minutes later, Ryujin came downstairs and took 2 chips from the kitchen and gave one to Beomgyu.

"Eat this."

"Are you sure?" he asked and she rolled her eyes playfully.

"Of course Beoms, don't be shy." she laughed.

They were watching a movie when they Ryujin's parents arrived.

Beomgyu hurriedly stood up and fixed himself that made Ryujin laugh.

"Hello mom, dad." Ryujin hugged them both.

"Good afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Shin." he greeted and bowed.

"Oh you're both here already. Sit down you two."

Both Ryujin's parents also sat down in front of Beomgyu.

"Beomgyu right?" Mr. Shin asked.

"Yes Mr. Shin." he responded politely.

"Beomgyu, we really want to thank you for saving our Ryu yesterday. We don't know what would happen if we lost our daughter." Ryujin's dad told him.

"Yes, thank you so much Beomgyu." Mrs. Shin said.

He looked at Ryujin and she gave him an it's-okay look.

"Don't mention it Mr. Shin, Mrs, Shin." he smiled.

"Beomgyu, just call us auntie and uncle okay?

He awkwardly smiled. "Okay, Auntie."

"Ryu, he is the person you that you first met at school that you told us about right?"

"Yes dad. That's him" she looked at him as he smiled.

"Wow, so I assume you both are close already."

They looked at each other and nodded.

"You know Beomgyu, you're good at baking too. I liked the cookies."

"I'm glad you like it uncle."

Ryujin eyes widen.

"Dad, you ate it?!" she whisper-shouted. "I was saving that for later." she pouted.

"Don't worry, if me and Taehyun bake again, I'll make sure I gave you more."

"Taehyun?" Mrs. Shin asked.

"Yes mom, he is Beom's bestfriend and dormmate."

"I see, so Beom is your nickname?"

"Yes auntie. You can call me Beom so it's not that long."

"Okay" Mrs. Shin said while smiling.

She has the same smile as Jinnie.

"Beom, eat dinner here." Mr. Shin said.

"Oh no uncle it's okay. I don't want to intrude—"

"We insist Beom" Mrs. Shin smiled.

He looked at Ryujin as she nodded.

...

At the dining area...

"So Beom, are you from here?" Mr. Shin asked the boy.

"I'm originally from Daegu uncle."

"Daegu I see... So you're dorming?"

He nodded.

Both of Ryujin's parents ask a lot of questions to Beomgyu that Ryujin found weird.

Are they interviewing him?

"Are you courting Ryu?"

Beomgyu's eyes widen. Don't worry it's not that obvious.

Ryujin was also taken back from the question that made her look to her father.

"No uncle, we're just friends, close friends." he shook his head.

"It'll take time...You have my permission." Mr. Shin mumbled loud enough to be heard by them but Beomgyu who was focusing on eating didn't heard it.

What?

"Dad!" Ryujin exclaimed.

"I'm just kidding." Mr. Shin said that made both Ryujin and Mrs. Shin laugh. Beomgyu was confused but decided to just laugh anyways.
