"Come in." she said, eyes still glued on her textbooks.
"Ryu."
She looked at who called her.
"Yes mom?"
"We will be gone for 2 weeks."
She stopped what she was doing and faced them.
"What? Why? Where are you and dad going?" she asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"We have a business trip in Japan."
"How about me?"
"Ryu, you have school and this is a business trip. You can't come."
"Yeah, I know that." she sighed.
"We can't leave you alone here."

"Hmm?"
He checked his phone and saw a message from an unknown number.

He left his room and saw Taehyun at the living room playing games.

He nodded and followed her. She gestured him to sit at the couch.
Ryujin's dad also came and sat across him.
"Are we bothering you?" Ryujin's dad asked him as he quickly shook his head.
"Not at all uncle."
"So you may be wondering why you're here.."
He gulped.
"Don't be nervous. You aren't in trouble." Ryujin's mom reassured him.
"So here's why, we are gone for two weeks.."
He nodded.
"So, we are wondering if we can ask you to...take care of Ryu while we're gone. You're the only one we can trust with our daughter." Ryujin's dad told him.
He made an "oh" expression.
"Look, it's okay if you disagree."
"Umm."
"We'll give you time to think about it."
"I'll do it." he answered and relief was seen in both Mr. and Mrs. Shin's face.
"Really Beomgyu?"
"Yes."
"Thank you Beom" they smiled at him.
"We'll leave tomorrow but we're still here when Ryujin wakes up."
He nodded at the statement.
"Here's the spare keys." Ryujin's dad gave him keys of the house. "You can stay here whenever you like and also sleep here if you like. We have guest room upstairs."
"Okay uncle. Thank you."
"We knew we could count on you. Please take care of Ryu for us."

Ryujin's mom walked with him to outside.
"Thank you Auntie. I'll go now."
"Wait, almost forgot." she took out a necklace. "Keep this."
She gave him a key necklace.
"It's Ryu's childhood necklace."
Why does it look familliar?
"Why are you giving this to me auntie?"
"Because I know you can take care of it. Can you?"
Beomgyu looked at the necklace in his hand and nodded. "I will."
