PoV Ayla

Bright light blends my eyes as I open them.
I try to talk but the only thing I can hear is a high pitched consistent tone.
Suddenly I get hit with a headache that feels like someone repeatedly hits my head.
My sight is like I'm underwater even though I'm clearly not.
Someone leans over me and says something.
Their mouth moves like a fish.
Then there's nothing again.

PoV Alex

My legs twitch as I'm sitting in the waiting room of the hospital.
About an hour already past and I still don't know what's going on.
What's taking so long?
Is it something bad?
She started shaking as if there was an earthquake and then she blacked out and fell into my arms.
Maybe she's not eating enough?
That's pretty much possible.
Her lifestyle isn't very healthy and her getting abused probably doesn't make it any better.
I just wish I could help her.
She's so great and I adore her art so much.
Maybe she'll be a famous artist one day?
I mean every great artist has a bad past.
At least the most.

"Alex... James?"

I look up and see the nurse peeking through the door.
I stand up and she gestures me to follow her.

"You can see her now but she's still very sleepy."

"Is she okay?"

"That's what we want to find out. She doesn't seem to have an illness or something like that."

"What is it then?"

"Well... she basically starved herself and got many untreated wounds and inner bleedings."

My throat feels like a desert.
My poor angel.

"Do you know where she could have gotten them from? You are her boyfriend, right?"

"No and no."

The nurse looks buffed then she mumbles under her breath, "I could have sworn..."

Suddenly she looks at me with disbelief.

"Aren't you the bassist from Blur?"

I move my index finger to my mouth, signing her she should stay calm.
I don't want anyone else to notice.
She nods excited.
Well at least she's happy.
She stops in front a white door.

"Well here you go."

She smiles encouraging.
I take a deep breath and open the door.
