The grey sky shaded everything in a gloomy overcoat as I walked down the desolated road of Konoha. Thunder rumbled overhead, causing me to glance up at the dark clouds. Normally, I would be walking down the sheltered main road when I see such a weather, and maybe say hello to my acquaintances.

But today was different.

I closed my eyes as I felt the first drop of rain.

The first drop quickly transformed into a downpour, and I was caught in it. My brunette hair was quickly soaked, followed by my light brown trenchcoat, turning it into a leather brown.

Not that I care.

"Ms Tsuchi Amaterasu?" the doctor's head popped out from his room. I smiled pleasantly, happy that he used my maiden name. He opened the door, and invited me to sit down.

"Or should I say Mrs Uchiha Amaterasu?" he smiled. Since he was a good friend of my fiance, Sasuke's family, he was invited to my wedding with Sasuke. I was so giddy at the last name, even though it sounded horrible, that I failed to notice the sad expression on the doctor.

"Doctor, what is it? Am I not able to have a child?" I asked worried, because I wanted to give the honorable Uchiha family an heir to the proud last name and the famous watch company they own.

"It's not that..." the doctor looked away at the computer screen with my blood test on it. I was thankful that I understood less than half the terms and symbols on the screen.

Yet I did recognise two words.

I arrived at the Uchiha household, absolutely drenched in the rain and my own misery.

"I'm sorry to inform you, but your cancer was discovered too late, and you have less than half a year left," the doctor looked on the verge of tears, and I was paralyzed with shock, my widened eyes on the doctor, hoping that he would say he has opened the wrong report.

But he looked down, his head bowed and a finger holding his glasses in place.

"Doctor..." I gasped, looking at the report again.

"Amaterasu?" a dark silhouette stood on the sheltered front porch. I recognised his slim frame and spiky "duck butt" hair. Despite the situation I was in, I still had to smile at the prospect of calling Sasuke 'duck butt" in front of our kids.

But I won't live long enough.

A spike of pain stabbed my heart, and I collapsed onto the wet pavement. I closed my eyes, shutting out footsteps splashing through the wet ground, gradually getting louder and louder.

"Sasuke," I whispered, and my heart answered with a dull, lifeless thud.

I'm sorry, I opened my mouth to scream at the sky, but nothing came out.
