"Ama, what about your-"

I hissed and clamped a hand over Sasuke's mouth, a sunset blush creeping up my face. He was about to open the lowest bathroom cabinet, where I store my...feminine stuff. He's clearly done some poking around, but in a nice, non suspicious way, to make sure that I have everything convenient.

"Sasuke, I'm fine! I'm not your little girl," I sighed, rolling my eyes and packing my toiletries while keeping a hand over his mouth. I could feel him lips curl up in a playful smirk.

Uh oh

"But it hasn't come yet, and we did it la-"

My dear fiance never got to finish his sentence before a bathroom door was slammed on his face, almost flattening his gorgeous nose.

"Does this have to take place now?" a pair of obsidian eyes from across the table stared at me with worry as I drained my hot chocolate, and licked my lips.

"It's ok, besides, it's only for 3 months," I forced a grin, and pushed down the familiar, stinging sensation in my nose.

"3 months. That's a really long time," his eyebrows knitted together and the soft lips that I had memorised pouted.

"I'm on a business trip with your bestfriend," with each syllable I poked his chest lightly, bringing a smile to his lips.

"He might try to steal you from me,"

"Sasuke-teme,"

"Or he might try to kidnap you."

"Sa-su-ke,"

"Or he will-"

"Uchiha Sasuke, if you don't quit being a dad, I might as well leave now,"

He instantly shut his trap.

"Sasuke, listen," I leaned forward, desperately trying to memorise every detail: the way his eyes would light up when he watches me, the way a stray strand would always fall into his face, the way his midnight blue hair would appear an ocean blue when under the morning light that always managed to peek through the closed blinds.

"When I'm gone, don't be too upset, ok? Because you know that I love you, and I will always be with you. Besides, it's only a short time," I smiled, swallowing harder than usual to keep my voice from cracking.

"Ama," he breathed softly, then placed his forehead against mine.

"Sa-sasuke," I cursed myself the little crack - a stutter - appear.

Only seconds passed until a voice called: "Flight 3CX78P to America now boarding. Passengers please arrive at gate 56."

I've never hated a mere voice so much until now.

Sasuke and I held hands like a high school couple until we arrived at the departure gate. Unable to stand it any longer, I grabbed his hand, dragged him towards a wall and kissed him like my life depended on it. Perhaps my life did, because I know that without him, I would not know how to keep on living.

And the horrible thing is that I meant the same to him.

Finally, I wrenched myself from his last embrace and picked up my luggage.

"Ja ne, Ama," Sasuke smiled through dark orbs that held unshed tears. I could barely manage to wave and turn my back on him when my facade broke, and agonising tears came like a waterfall.

"Sasuke, there will be no ja ne."
