I opened my eyes. In the dark stillness, I couldn't see much, but the dim glow of the bedside clock and the vague shadow of the lamp next to it, I can still hear the alarm. I fumbled with the covers and stumbled to the washroom. I checked my reflection in the mirror. The haunted eyes and dark circles underneath them made the long, drawn-in face almost unrecognizable. I walked down the stairs which go straight to the living room, there was no huge bulky inked footprints, but where the TV is at, the TV had a text on it...

'Do not go outside! Close all windows, doors, and every entrance or exit in your household, turn off all lights and relax. There is a wanted murderer and cops are searching for "it", Please call #*** if "it's" close'

The panic grows stronger as my mental faculties give way to emotions. I remain where I am. Let's face it, there is really only one thing I can do: Pray no one kills me. I ran to every opening in the house and tried every way to lock it, a thought crossed my mind, my heart skipped a beat, none of my family members are in sight... it feels as if my bones have no more strength and my muscles are all out of power, "Now what?!" I whispered to myself' "My family members are no-where insight and I am alone with a criminal somewhere in the neighborhood, can it get worse?!"

I turned off every single lightbulb in the house, I used my phone's flashlight as my only light. Time passed slowly. Constance stayed hidden within the darkness.

'Wait, It's already in...'

My feet pounded the wooden planks running to the only place that might keep me hidden enough, the basement. It's not that big of a deal for not obeying my father's rules, I can be dead meat any moment now. The light of the phone's flash shuddered in the darkness of the basement, I heard footsteps, just like the dream I had, but this time they're inside.
A weight seemed to press on my chest, robbing me of breath. Time was passing so slow as I listened to the footsteps, I flashed my phone's light around the basement and have realized that there's a long path leading to somewhere, I flashed the light towards it, it really was long path since the flash was not able to brighten the whole path. As I was walking through the hall, After awhile, it began to seem odd that nothing has happened, but I decide that it would be best to just stay put. not long before I start to feel sleepy. My eyelids start to droop. With every passing minute, I get sleepier and sleepier. I try to fight back, knowing that staying awake is a matter of life or death, but my efforts are in vain.
