The atmosphere was completely different. The air had a perfumed scent and the seats were plush. Every surface was dustless. There was an IV stuck under my left wrist.
•6:30 AM•
My back was bandaged, I could obviously tell it was cut by someone, or something. I convinced myself it is nothing too terrible as long as I'm able to breathe normally. A nurse headed towards the room not long after, she seems to be holding a clipboard, she pushes the door out of her way for a better view of me, she has realized I was awake.
"Splendid! You're awake! Let me inform the doctors." The nurse said in a low voice, trying to make sure the patients in the other rooms don't wake up.
She headed out of the room, I stared at the strange-looking clock as I waited for her.
•7:00 AM•
"It has been 30 minutes, and I can't seem to find her anywhere around-!"
I was interrupted by the power shutting off, which is pretty extraordinary in a hospital, I was losing my patience, I unplugged my IV, not really caring about the pain and went down the hallway, all of the rooms were empty and there was darkness all over the place, I start to panic, I don't even know what hospital I am in, I have no cell phone, in a place with the power cut off and with barely anyone around.
I tried to calm myself down, panicking won't fox anything, the elevators were off due to no power, I had to walk down the stairs, I was being careful trying to not trip since I was trembling in fear, I reached the lobby, and headed over to the glass door, and thanks to my luck, its locked.
I tried kicking it to maybe bust it open but all it did was get my leg pained.
I searched for something in the hospital that could break a glass door, I come across a bulky fire extinguisher."This will do just fine I suppose "
I said under my breath as I was carrying the fire extinguisher closer to the double main glass door.
I threw it against the door as hard as I can, it shattered, but it didn't collapse, I gave the fire extinguisher one more whack for it to completely collapse, one side of the double glass door had a hole big enough for me to go through, I put my leg through it as an attempt to go out until I have realized that I didn't have any materials to survive.
An idea just crossed my mind, I could take the remaining hospital food in a patient's room.
I ran upstairs and go to the first patient room I see, it had an untouched meal for some reason, it looks disgusting, but it's better than nothing, it had a water bottle beside it that I managed to take, I emptied a box of syringes and put the plate and bottle of water in it, and carried it downstairs. I went through the hole I made through one side of the double glass door, I got my arm cut a little, but it wasn't serious injuries, so I moved on, the city was very busy, way too busy...There were people with suitcases going in their cars, some people taking busses with suitcases?..
Some people with suitcases in their car and above their car?!
'Why would everyone be... Leaving?'
