Quinn groaned when the sun rays shone directly on his face. He grunted,  grabbed his pillow and buried his head beneath it.
The woolen blanket was yanked away from his lean, musculared  body, revealing his brief clad body.
"what the fuck is wrong with you?", he glared daggers at the intruder.
The small boned woman folded her arms across her chest and glared back at him.
""Time to rejoin the human race,  your royal highness . It's twelve fifteen in the afternoon ".
"I'm going back to sleep,  Tilda", he said and layed back down, burying his face in the pillow this time.
She sighed and sat down at the edge of the bed. " I won't say I told you so but this is the third day, Quinn. You can't keep behaving like this".
Quinn groaned into the pillow.
"Getting your heart broken by a man who is ten years  your senior is unlike you".
Don't you have work to go to? ", his voice was muffled.
She hit his backside and he jerked up.
"what the hell did you do that for? ".
She snorted. " Be a man. Stop sulking.
He sighed and leaned his back against the headboard. "Six months of bliss was thrown away like trash. I thought he felt something.  But it turned out I was wrong ".
"Do you love him?"
He shifted his gaze to her, his brows furrowed. "I've never really thought of it. I really like him and I find him irrestible. I miss him every second and even when I'm with him,  I can't get enough of him".
She nodded. "How did you feel when he gave you that nasty bruise on your face and told you to get the fuck out of his house?. Your words,  not mine".
"I felt suffocated. There was this intense pain in my chest that felt like a chainsaw was splitting my heart apart. I can still feel it".
She studied him carefully. "This is worse than I imagined ".
"what?,  he looked confused.
"you and I both know,  nobody ever layed a hit on you and go scott free. Did you ever think of hitting him back? "
He blanched. "of course not. What do you take me for? "
"You have it real bad"
"what? "
"you love this man,  Quinn. Forget the " I told you so" but I've never seen you this deep and sulky in any relationship ".
Quinn looked at her and then it dawned on him that she was right.  He never believed in relationships. He was the sort that never did one person twice,  if you could even call it a relationship. But when Ryan stepped into that gay bar six months back,  things changed and suddenly he was doing it with one person more than twice. There were conditions,  like no labeling what they were to each other,  no invitations to friends and family. Tilda had only known because she caught them making out on the couch which had made Ryan take two steps back. He didn't blame the older man. He was scared of letting his family down, his parents down. He wanted to be the perfect son.
Quinn sighed. "Even if I do,  it's of no use now. Two weeks from now he is getting married "
"I was never in agreement with this issue you are having but when did you  become a quitter? ".
He frowned " I didn't quit,  he did".
"will you just let him? "
"what are you driving at?
She inhaled. "Audrey don't know him like you do, Quinn. Perhaps the fake part of him but you,  you know the real him like the back of your hand.  You could write a book about him. There is no Ryan without Quinn and no Quinn without  Ryan. You are like two missing pieces of a puzzle. Without each other,  you are both incomplete. The Quinn I know would not give up without a fight.
Quinn's eyes widened in stunned surprise. "Have you been reading those porn novels, again?  "
She glared at him. "Fuck you Quinn, they are called romantic novels and it's beside the point".
Quinn chuckled  and stood up.
"you are right. If I let Ryan go ahead with this wedding,  he's going to regret it and I will too".
She raised a perfect brow. "what are you planning on doing? "
He winked " I need to stop a wedding "
She grinned and stood up. " Now you are talking".
