I slowly walked to her table. She was surrounded by her "friends", I guess.

"Sup wit you? I'm Noah." I reached out my hand.

"Mariah." She said back, with no expression.

"You new roun' here? Aint seen you." I said.

"I've been around." She said, looking at me.

"Well, uh cool. You should hit me up sometime." I said.

"Should I?" She said smartly, but smiled afterwards.

"I think so." I smirked.

"Here's my number." She wrote it down.

"Use it."

"Fasho'." I said, walking away.

"So wat happened?" Jay asked me.

I showed him the number.

"$5 bro." I stuck my hand.

Blue

It's been two days since the weird feeling. I haven't told Deuce about it, because I didn't want it to be a big deal if it really wasn't.

I don't know if I was really paranoid, from being really scared or what.

I was in the kitchen preparing dinner.

"Why you smiling at your phone?" I asked Noah, while he sat at the bar and did homework.

"No reason ma." He looked up at me.

"Uh huh. Are you telling the truth?" I squinted my eyes at him.

"Just a new friend." He shrugged.

"New friend? Is this a girl?" I looked his way.

"Maybe." He smirked.

"What's her name?" I asked.

"C'mon on ma." He laughed.

"Tell me. I wanna know." I asked, while putting a steak in the pan.

"Mariah mom. Mariah." He finally told me.

I looked up at him, and a thousand questions ran through my mind.

"Nice name." I told him, while trying my best not to make it awkward.

"I think she a lil older than me. But dat's cool. I can handle a cougar." He joked.

"Boy, finish that homework." I laughed, only to turn around and stop.

Mariah?

Deuce

"Liam come here!" I heard Blue yell from the kitchen.

"Liam. Youn' hear ya momma." I looked down at him.

"Im doing my transformers puzzle da." He said.

"Liam." I said.

"Ok. Ok. Don't let dem mess up my puzzle." He pointed at Bon and Zel.
