Chapter 12

"Oh my Gosh Bert, look at you damn! what have you been eating?" Brianna kept looking at her friends from head to toe.

"No wait, you girls look so different, in a positive way" Brianna continued turning the girls around "your skin glows, your hairs look perfect damn y'all just marry me please."

Emrys, Drey and Bert couldn't stop laughing at their dramatic friend.

"I thought you changed Bri, but nah. You still so dramatic and love flattering." Emrys said shaking her head.

Brianna's friends were back home for the Christmas break.

They met at Dreys place to spend some good girly time together.

"Ugh Emy, I don't flatter. I say the truth that's all. Why would you think I'm flattering you huh? I'm I the first person to say that?" Brianna asked in defence.

"Yes!" The trio chorused.

"No way" Brianna said surprised. " Well that is probably cause they don't know y'all better than I do." She folded her arms.

"Yeah yeah, tell me more" Drey rolled her eyes.

Brianna jumped on her giving her a tight bear hug.
" I missed you too babe."

"I never said that, get off me you crazy child" Drey said fighting a smile.

"You don't need to say it girl, I read minds remember?" Brianna said getting off of Drey.

"Oh really? Okay tell me what I'm thinking about." Drey folded her arms on her chest.

"It doesn't work like that you know. Plus you're just trying to prove me wrong so..." Brianna winked at Drey who playfully rolled her eyes.

Brianna noticed how Emrys and Berte had their eyes glued to their phones screen.
She squeezed herself in between the two girls.

She held them by their shoulders.
Glancing from one phone to another. She noticed they were both texting.

"Emy baby? How far with Zed huh?" Brianna raised her brows smirking.

"Well... we are good. Better than ever. Our love is getting stronger day by day." Emrys replied, a beautiful smile on her face. You could feel how much she loved her man.

Drey squeezed herself in between Brianna and Emrys in a bid to be part of the discussion.

"Gossip girl" Brianna playfully pushed Drey.
The latter just stick her tongue out at Brianna who shook her head fighting a smile.

"Grow up Drey. Hey Berte babe? What's going on huh? Give us the gist aye." Brianna said smiling mischievously.

Berte just giggled.
"It's nothing serious" she said.

"Really?" Drey asked while Brianna and Emrys stared at her.

"Ugh you girls are annoying" Berte said face palming herself.
She was trying to hide her smile, but she ended up giggling.

"Give us the juice aye" Brianna was getting anxious.

"Okay okay fine." Berte laughed.

"Okay okay fine what?" The girls asked in unison.

"Jeez calm down y'all" Berte kept smiling and giggling like a 6 year old.

"Uhm, where do I start now?"

"From the beginning." Drey said.

"His name?" Emrys added.

"Where did you meet him?" Brianna continued.

"Okay, his name is Raymond, we met at... No he met me on the street, I was going back  home. I was from the library. He kinda knew who I was, not well though. So he decided to talk to me that day. He presented himself, he said he noticed that I love going to the library and he could help blablabla then he started telling me things about himself that I didn't even ask, he was getting annoying. He insisted I gave him my number and I did. Wait I did because I wanted to get out of there ASAP." Berte recounted.

"So...?" Emrys asked.

"What next?" Drey added.

"Go on." Brianna continued.

"Well from there he kept texting me, I replied when I felt like, he still kept on texting and calling, he always checked on me you see. Then he started helping me with projects and assignments, that's how we started getting along." Berte said.

"So, what are you two know?" Brianna asked.

Berte giggled and laughed.

"We are friends." She said.

"Friends?" The girls asked in shock.

"Yes. No. Well I don't know." Berte replied.

The girls just stared at her.

"Wait you guys go on dates right?" Brianna asked

"Yeah we do."

"He told you he likes you right?" Emrys asked

"Yeah...?"

"And you? Do you like him?" Drey asked.

"Yeah..."

"Then you guys are a couple simple." Drey Stated.

"I think you should ask him. Now." Emrys said.

Berte handed her phone to Brianna. She started texting Raymond while the others shot questions at Drey.

"Well your boy was as confused as you were Babe. Guess what?"

"What?" The girls asked.

Berte seized her phone from Brianna.

"It's official, we're daaaating!" Berte said doing one funny dance step.

They girls just laughed at her display.

"So..." Emrys cleared her throat "Bri, Drey has nothing to say, Berte just told us everything, now it's your turn. Tell us. Everything." Brianna's friends had mischievous smiles on their faces.

"Y'all stop looking at me like that, I have no one." She said in defence.

"So who's that cute guy who keeps facetiming you huh?" Drey asked with a smirk.

"He's a friend. Well he's my chef at work but we're friends really good friends." Brianna replied.

"What about the one with the platinum hairs?" Berte asked hands akimbo.

"He is also a friend. He is Drake Orlando my chef's best friend. He plays the the organ, the piano, and guitar while I sing. You see he's a friend." Brianna said confidently.

"Really? You don't like him and he doesn't like you. Both of them?" Drey asked.

"Yeah I promise. Drake has his girlfriend, Orlando is single but he doesn't like me like that and I don't like him like that. So y'all just quit it." Brianna stuck out her tongue at them.

"Hallelujah!" Drey exclaimed " we're still together huh?" She held Brianna's shoulders.

Brianna giggled "yes we are."

"I'm starving" Emrys said heading to the kitchen.

"Make something yummy for us mum." Brianna said following her to the kitchen.
