"Easy girls, easy!" Everly exclaimed when Kels and Patra literally fell on their sister. They hugged her so tight mumbling 'I missed you's and shedding tears of joy. Everly stood firmly behind his B just in case she could not support their weight.

Belle stood at the door enjoying the view. She missed that scenario so much. Seeing her girls hugging eachother like that gave her goosebumps. The last time she saw that was two years ago and in her dreams.
Her Brianna was back, it was not a dream this time.
Rivers of tears ran down her cheeks.

"Hey she has to hug mum too y'all" Everly whispered to the girls.
They reluctantly freed Brianna from their embrace.

She walked up to her mum in tears. She thought she'd never see that woman again. She walked straight into the arms of her mama. She had those comforting arms she missed so much around her. She inhaled that sweet delicious and soothing perfume her lungs had missed.
It was like a dream to both women, they couldn't hold back their emotions. They cried of joy and happiness.

Belle held Brianna at arm length, contemplating her daughter's beauty. She had grown more beautiful, she had the impression Brianna's skin was glowing. Belle looked further. Her eyes got bigger in understanding. She looked at Brianna's eyes, then her tummy then her eyes again.
Brianna nodded amidst grins and giggles. Her mum hugged her again, sweet tears still ran down their cheeks. Belle stretched her right hand towards Everly and beckoned on him to join the hug. As soon as he did, Kel's and Patra followed suit.

"Uhm the food will get cold y'all." Kels said bringing everyone back to reality.

"Let's go eat then. We've been on the road for hours, I'm famished." Brianna said following Kels and Patra inside.

Everly stayed back so as to take their luggage in the house. Belle helped him with some bags.

"Ma'am? Can I talk with you for some minutes? Please?" Everly asked Belle before she could get in the house.

"Sure. You want to confess son?" She joked.
Everly laughed. You know that kind of uneasy laughter you have to force out right?
The young man was kind of anxious, talking with future mother-in-law was really not easy especially when you got her daughter pregnant.

"Uhm I want to officially ask your daughter's hand in marriage ma'am-"

"I thought I saw a ring on it. So who put the ring on it?" Belle interrupted Everly.

"I- I did ma'am. I wanted to officially ask you so we could pick a date and-"

"And she's with child." Belle interrupted the poor guy again.

"Yes she is ma'am. That's a long story but we're going to recount everything to you I promised." Everly replied, already feeling beads of sweat rising all over his body.

"Okay, can't wait to hear about that." She said and was about walking away.

"Ma'am? What about your-"

"Oh sorry son. You have my permission." She smiled.

"Thank you so much ma-"

"Come here" She interrupted him, inviting him for a hug. Belle could be a typical African mother at times but she was certainly a sweet big soft teddy bear.

After the meal Brianna and Everly told everything to Belle who was shocked all through. She couldn't believe her ears. She never thought witchcraft could be this close to her. The threat her late husband dreaded was actually an inaccurate reality.

"That's probably the reason why I got so fond of Mitch because I still can't explain why I did all what I did." Belle said her right hand caressing her left arm.
