Chapter 34

It's been a couple of days since the insident at Everly's happened and he has still not been able to talk to Brianna.

She kept avoiding him for reasons best known to her.
She sure did love the extra attention too. Even when Everly came to the casa she'll always maneuver and disappear without his knowledge.

He went to the Casa today by 11am and stayed in his car that was parked not far from there.
He waited for almost two hours but there was still no sign of Brianna leaving the Casa.
He decided to go inside and ask of her.

He wasn't a stranger to the Casa so as soon as he got there Joe took care of him.

"Hey what do you want? Brianna's not here." Joe said looking at Everly from head to toe and back.
They were standing beside the kitchen door.

"Hey Joe! Did she tell you where she was going?" Everly asked Joe not minding the stupid jealousy and resentment he always felt towards him.

"Don't ask me that. I wouldn't even tell you if I knew." He crossed his arms. " Orlando someone's here for you." he said slightly looking inside the kitchen.

He kept looking at Everly in a very strange way. Everly still did not mind.

Orlando came out with a tray comprised of two plates of classic chicken salad. "Here!" he handed it over to Joe who gave Everly one last look before leaving.

"He thinks you stole Bri from him." Orlando said giving Everly a brotherly hug.

"Oh! I was wondering. Poor Joe. I still like him though." Everly said after returning Orlando's greeting. "How do you do?" He added.

"How do you do? You looking for her right?" Orlando asked.

"Yeah, do you know where she is?" Everly asked hoping to get a good answer.

"Well, she didn't tell me. She just said she's going somewhere else. Do you guys have a spot, does she have a favourite spot or something?" Orlando tried giving him a hint.

"I've been at the beach and at the park the last couple of days but I didn't get to meet her." He said thoughtfully. "I'll try again today. Thanks man!" He tapped Orlando's  right shoulder and left.

"Love! God when?" Orlando dramatised raising his two hands to the sky as he got back into the kitchen.

Everly got out of his car with a stem of sunflower he got from a nearby flower shop and a small paper bag containing Brianna's favourite cupcakes. He got in the park heading directly to the spot where he asked Brianna out.

He met her talking to a beautiful straited queen butterfly that gently flapped it's wings on her left knee.

"Do you think I'm overreacting? Is he really feeling sad?" She asked the butterfly

"Yes he is, and he misses his angel so very much" he said sincerely, walking towards her.

She looked at him then at the butterfly and she shifted to the right, creating space for him to sit. The beautiful insect left her knees and flew to somewhere else, disappearing completely from her view.

"Thanks babe!" he said and she nodded.
"I got these for you." He gave her the sunflower.

"Thanks!" She smiled.

"Uhm I know you've not eaten so, I also got some cupcakes for... you" He smiled and tilted his head in a cute way. She took the paper bag and place it between them.
"For us." She said.

"Uhm so..." This is the part where you're supposed to explain yourself and apologise idiot. Everly heard Gorge's voice say in his head.
"So... I'm really really sorry for what happened I know I should've told you about her but I just didn't have the chance to. I'm really sorry B I missed you so much babe I'd never hurt you intentionally." He took her hands in his, looking in her light brown iris he said "I promise to never hide anything again from you I swear."
