Chapter 5 Canterlot

We finally reached Canterlot. I stepped off the train and the stares returned. I was used to them by now. The others stepped out and started walking to the castle. I looked around for Al then realized he was up ahead talking to fluttershy probably about kittens. I ran after them and caught up.

" So what's the princess like?" I asked Pinkie pie.

" She's nice funny and tall." She said.

I imagined her in my head. A beautiful white horse just a head taller than Twilight who was slightly taller than us.

We were let inside the castle and we went to a room where two Alicorns sat, I looked over. The white one was huge. She was like double Twilight's height. The other was more the size I imagined being just about a head taller.

" OhMyGodYouAreReallyFreakingTall!" I said pointing at the white one. She had magical rainbow hair that floated around on it's own.

The others looked at me like I had just kicked a puppy.

The white one laughed. " Yes I am very tall." She said. I kind of had the feeling she thought I was a kid.

" So you must be the ponies who are human." The shorter one said. She was a dark blue and she had the magic hair too but hers was a dark blue with white dots.

" Yup I'm Edward Elric." I said with a large grin on my face.

" An I'm Alphonse Elric." Al said and bowed.

I looked at Al. Why so formal?

" Come follow me." The white one said and got off her throne and lead us to a massive library. I looked around wanting to run off to search but I also wanted to know where she was taking us as she was still walking. We eventually reached a wall. Pinkie pie was jumping up and down next to me.

" Is she insane?" I asked.

" No. Celestia may be messing with us though." She said.

I looked at Celestia. Her horn glowed then a hole opened in the wall. We walked in and all the books were alchemy related. I ran off to search. I grabbed stacks of books then started reading.

I went through each book finding nothing that could help us.

Pinkie came jumping over to me.

"Found anything yet?" She asked.

" No." I said.

" Well we gotta go. It's getting late. We have to return on Monday." She said.

" Why?" I asked. We needed answers now.

" The library needs to go through books clean up and stuff. They need to do this about one week each month. The library is too big to be cleaned over night." She explained. I put the books back and followed the others. We went to a hotel. Me and Al were sharing a room.

" Hey Al." I said while laying on my bed. Everyone else had already gone to sleep.

" Yes brother?" He said.

" How do you think Winry reacted when we disappeared?" I asked.

" She's probably really worried." Al said.

" Or maybe she thought we left already and is waiting for the day she gets to throw her wrench at me head." I said and started laughing Al did too.

I woke up the next day. " Need food." I said and fell to the floor.

Al looked at me. " Come on let's go get something to eat." He said. Here he had a body and could eat. I bet if people wouldn't miss him he would want to stay here and live with Fluttershy.

We walked downstairs and went to the cafeteria place and got food. I started shoveling in as much as I could. I had only eaten the food in the morning yesterday. I had been to busy later on. I finished and sat waiting for Al to finish too. When we both finished we started walking back upstairs. Rainbow Dash was standing in the hall trying to look cool.

" Hey what are you doing?" I asked.

" I heard the Wonder bolts are staying on this floor of this hotel so I'm waiting for my chance to meet them." She explained.

" Who are the Wonder Bolts?" I asked.

" Only the greatest flying team ever!" She said " I hope to one day fly with them."

" Have fun with that." I said.

" Do you not believe I'm good enough?" She asked me.

" I've never seen you fly for reasons like that." I said.

" I'll have to show you then." She said and we ran outside. I sat down on the grass. She took off and did a bunch if spins and stuff.

" You're pretty good." I said as she lands in front of me hardly breaking a sweat.

" You can't do better." She said proudly.

" Okay." I said and got up on my hooves raising my wings from my sides. I took a deep breath then started flapping. I was really slow but I flew. I crashed next to Rainbow Dash.

" Damn you." I said under my breath.

" What's that?" She asked.

" Damn you!" I shouted.

She looked at me a bit surprised but then smiled.

" See you can't." She said proudly.

I took a deep breath. " Well I am new to this." I said.

" I'll teach you." Rainbow Dash said." Let's work on your landings first."

I spat out a clump of dirt after a rough landing, the lessons were slow going but progressively I was getting better. However the sun was setting and Rainbow Dash trotted up to me.

"Let's call it a day, you have plenty of time to work on this later," She said and began leading me back to the hotel.

"Ok," I grumbled, glaring at the dirt that had just been in my mouth, and reluctantly trotted after her.

AN: Whoops, so it's been awhile huh? I can't promise I'll finish this, I can't remember what the plot of this was supposed to be, however I did have over 900 words of a chapter already written that I just never posted and there does seem to still be a little interest in this, so I added a little ending and here it is. Thank you so much to anyone still reading this now.
