8. She Managed To Come Through The A.C. Ducts

There was a moment of silence after the "mafia" had made the announcement, and then the screaming started.

I quickly came out of the daze and untangled myself from Kai. But he was still clutching my hand tightly.

"I am going to go check what's happening outside," he spoke, giving a last squeeze to my hand and then letting go.

I stood up, deciding to go out with him. I am sure as hell not going to be that stupid female lead and stay behind, missing all the show.

Seeing me standing up, he shot me a glare. "You, darling, are staying right here."

"Excuse you," I cross my arms in a defensive manner, "I speak for myself."

We glared at eachother for a moment. And after seeing that I was not going to give up, he let out a sigh.

"Savannah," he groaned, combing his fingers through his soft hair, "It's dangerous out ther-"

I was already sprinting out of the door before he could complete his sentence. I could hear Kai's heavy footsteps behind me, but I ignore it and kept running, till I reach the mafia plac-

A hand shot out and pulled me behind the wall just as I was going to enter the hall of chaos. I thrashed in the person's arms that held me.

"Why don't you listen to me! I told you to stay the-"

"Oh hush!" I smack Kai on the arm and he throws me a glare, "And call the police!"

He smiles, a very sarcastic smile. Before I could understand anything, he cups my chin and moves my face in the direction of the entrance- Oh.

"The police won't be able to do anything," he mumbles, "So now you go to that room, while I handle this, Savannah."

I open my mouth to protest.

"Now."

I close my mouth and after throwing him a last glare, I turn around. If he won't let me go, I will go through the other way!

The police obviously won't be able to do anything because the 'Mafia' had innocent people lined up in the front of the hotel. So if police even tried to fire, there was was a high chance that they would shoot the people lined up infront.

So the people who could do anything, were only the inside people. And all of them were in the main hall.......except for me and Kai.

And granny too. But she was in the washroom so as long as she stays there, it was okay. I guess.

Turning down the hall, I walked to the other side of the corridor from where I could enter the main hall.

"This is like a scene straight out of James Bond movie!"

"What the-" I jumped with a scare when Joe squealed from where she was standing right beside me, "Joe! What the heck! Where did you come from?!"

She rolled her eyes and pointed a perfectly manicured finger nail up, "I came through the A.C vent. Duh!"

I look upward towards the A.C ducts.

She came from A.C. ducts?!

"When you did not reply to my messages, I got worried," She glared at me, "And here I am! Now let's take down the mafia!"

I nodded, cracking my knuckles. This is what bff are for. To stick through thick and thin. Mafia or no mafia.

"What's the plan?"

"I will sneak behind that man," She pointed at a man who was pointing his gun at a waitress, "While you go and take down that baldie," She pointed at the guy who was pointing a gun at the waiter (the one I had creeped out).

I frowned, "Why do I get the baldie and not the other one?!"

"Savannah!"

I raise my hands, "Okay, okay."

I rolled my shoulders while Joe did some stretching. After we both were warmed up, we decided to get into action.

"Ready?" Joe asked.

"Yup!" I smirked. There were only two mafia's, but they had Ak-47 guns. But that doesn't matter.

As the mafia's back was at us, it was easier to sneak behind him. I walked towards the baldie while Joe pirouette towards the other mafia.

As soon as I reached baldie-the-mafia, I pressed his pressure points. And before he could react, his body relaxed, and he fainted. I quickly moved out of the way as he fell on the ground on his back with a 'thud'.

Ouch.

Looking towards Joe, I saw her doing the same with her target.

I grinned, "Ha! Take that maf-"

"Don't move now, Senorită."

I froze as I saw another baldie coming infront of me with a gun.

Aw man! Where the fudge did he come from?!

But then I saw that- hehe I am not telling you guys what I saw!

My grin resurfaced again, "So baldie," I spoke "Where did all your hair go?" I ask, all the while innocently blinking at him.
