(Nighlight/Jack POV)
Two months of careful planning and preparing, all will be put to the test today. We attack at first light. Dawn.
I take a deep breath. Today's the day, the day we've all fought for. Daddy stands next to me in full black-gold armor, his nightmares ready.
Hiccup, Merida, Rapunzel, and Anna are rallying their troops. Highlander, Corona, Arendelle, and Viking ships are readied to speed to the Isle to carry the evacuees to safety.
Maleficent is in Moorland Fairy armor, complete with her crown.
Hades is riding Cerebrus his three-headed dog.
The dark fae are in formation.
We all stand or float in the air awaiting the signal.
Hiccup approaches me. "Nightlight?"
I turn to Hiccup.
"Your dad may not have told you but you're the Isle's hero now."
Huh?
I raise an eyebrow.
"After the Isle kids learned Mal and her friends were going to close the barrier and abandon them, they lost all hope and faith. Then they learned how you fought, not only for them, but their parents. They believe in you, Jack."
"I-in me..?" I stammer. I never thought what I did was even given a second glance on the Isle.
Hiccup nodded. "Which is why, after Maleficent tears the barrier down and alerts the Isle that they're free, I want you to lift their spirits and rally them to fight.
"I-" I'm no leader! I only wanted to liberate these guys. I'm still a loner...but-
I look Hiccup in the eye. "Ok. Let's do this." He nods. We shake hands.
"It's time!" Merida announced.
Maleficent took hold of Hades' hand and together they sent a firey cloud across the sky, that engulfed the barrier!
My eyes grew wide.
The gloomy clouds that had always loomed over the Isle melted away! And the gap between Auradon and the Isle was linked by a bridge. A bridge that soon would be merely a memory after today!
Maleficent swooped in the air and declared in a magically enhanced voice, "My People, the People of the Isle! You are no longer lost, freedom has found you. Your queen is here and will lead the way!"
I bet Auradon's in a panic now!
Hiccup turns to me. I take a deep breath. What should I say.
As I fly up, and the ships are already departing for the Isle, I find the words in a song. A song of revolution.
Jack:
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the songs of angry men?
It is the music of the people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!
Jack and everyone fighting with him:
Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Somewhere beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see? Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!
Everyone including the Isle:
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the songs of angry men?
It is the music of the peopleWho will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!
Jack and his allies:
Will you give all you can give
So that our banner may advance
Some will fall and some will live
Will you stand up and take your chance?
The blood of the martyrs
Will water the meadows of France!
Everyone:
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the songs of angry men?
It is the music of the people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes

Author's Note: That song I used is called The Song of Angry Men. It's from the musical Les Miserables. I hope you like my latest chapter. The barrier is destroyed, Jack and his friends are ready to save his people. But can they sink the Isle and destroy the bridge? Auradon is on their way too. And make no mistake...the WORST is yet to come!!!! Please vote, comment, and share this chapter. Thank you! 🤗
