Joe's pov

It was raining for once in LA, which never happens. It reminded me of the kind of weather we had a lot in Jersey when I was growing up. It looked like a sad droopy day. It was the perfect kind of day for me to be going to grab the last pieces of memorabilia from my manager's office before he moves to a bigger one. It sounds so silly but you know, this is where my career started. It was sad that this little office just didn't fit us anymore.

I walked down the long hallway and into Phil's office and saw a familiar face.

"Demi?" I asked shocked that I said that so loudly.

I was just so shocked to see her. We hadn't talked since after her overdose. I'm not sure why. I'm sure it had something to do with the fact that I had moved on from our secret, off and on ten year relationship within a couple months and decided to get married- which I'll admit I was a dick for.

"Joe?" She asked making a face like she couldn't believe her eyes.

"How are you doing?" I asked as I walked over and greeted her with a hug

"How are you doing?" I asked as I walked over and greeted her with a hug.

"I-I'm doing well," she said hugging me back.

It felt good to hug her. It felt good to see she had gained some weight back, she was glowing again, she looked healthy, and overall it felt good to have her in my arms at all- you know one last time.

"How are you?" She asked me.

"I'm good," I said with a smile. "Whatcha looking at here?" I asked her noticing there were two boxes.

"Oh, well this box had my name on the sticky note and the other one says Joe so I'm just gonna go ahead and guess that it's yours," she said with a chuckle. "You know I actually just found this old photo of us thought and was looking at it. You remember this old dinosaur?" She asked me handling me the photo.

I grabbed this picture and a million memories flashed through my head and I couldn't help but smile. Those were better and much more simpler times, even though we didn't know it at the time.
