We were finally performing for the first time in what felt like forever but it really wasn't and I didn't want to mess anything up about this song. Especially since Phil wanted us to play off of the nostalgia of our old songs. I definitely wanted us to mail this one.
Focusing on the show was the only thing keeping my mind off of the crazy shit that had been going on in my personal life. Like that fact that Sophie had now decided to go public work her cancer like it was a trend or the fact Demi and her family were furious with me again. I was being stretched in so many different directions I didn't know which way to go. The only thing I could do was follow my heart.
We quickly finished the song and prepared to play hesitate.
"Alright now, I want you all to slow it down," I said as the music began to play.
Everyone knew this was my song to Sophie. I had clearly said it before that it was like my vows to her but now it just felt like I was living a huge lie.
