27. Wise Words

The Caterpillar lead us to the enormous castle. I was walking squished between Hyatt and Nick. I held my broken arm close to me, with my other one on guard. I'm in a poisoned Wonderland after all, there has to be danger somewhere.

"Off with your head!" I heard Lizzie shout somewhere in the background as we walked into a enormous room.

"Who are these people?!" A woman with short black hair yelled.

"Uh, um.. my Queen... they don't seem to be Wonderlandians," A short guy said.

"Fireworks and owls don't explode!" I shouted.

"Oo! Fancy that, the girl speaks riddlish!" The Queen said.

"Please, tell me. What do they call you?"

"Princess Scarlett of Arendelle."

"If you're from Arendelle, then why are you in Wonderland?"

"I, Madeline Hatter, Kitty Cheshire, Hyatt Caterpillar, and your daughter, Lizzie Hearts, were brought here by a time portal of some sorts."

"Well that sounds like a lie! Scarlett, I know your mother and I know she has the ability to freeze Wonderland! And I know she wants you to do the dirty work for her!" The Queen screamed with her face turning red just as Lizzie walked in.

"Mother, Scarlett is telling the truth." Lizzie said holding a flamingo in her hand.

"Oh, my little Lizzie!" The Queen said running over to Lizzie.

"Guards!" The Queen shouted, "please find a room for these two lovely guest."

They lead me to a room across one that had a heart door. The door was a red color. How I hated the color red. Guess I'm going to be getting a lot of that here. I turned the knob open and let myself inside. This was wear I was going to be staying until we found a way home.

Everything in the room was white, with sudden dips of black here and there. I laid my hand on the table as I turned on the light. I honestly thought it would be more mad.

I looked over to my hand. "Oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no." I whispered. I shut the door behind me. The handle turned to ice. The floor was slowly layering with frost. The temperature was going down. Soon everything I touched was ice.

"Why, why is this happening?" I asked myself. I got a idea. I always stuff a pair of gloves in my pocket incase if someone's magic went haywire. But I never thought I would be mine. I slipped them on. I suddenly felt small. I thought I could diss my destiny, but I guess I can't.

I leaned against a wall that was covered with ice. A small tear escaped from my eye. "The first rule to being a Queen, is to never let anyone see you cry." I thought in my head. But there wasn't anyone here. I was locked up but free at the same time.

I thought over my story again. This was my destiny. But it can't be. Cam wasn't here. My back slid lower from the wall. My head was tucked between my legs. A waterfall of tears fell down my face.

"Sad my dear?" A strange voice said from the window.

"What?" I asked. My face felt puffy and red. I whipped away a tear. "No one can see me cry." I thought again.

"I said 'sad my dear?'" It said again, now seeing yellow eyes and a large white smile from the window.

"Y-Your a cat!"

"A Cheshire Cat."

"C-Cheshire Cat?"

"Yes, Scarlett Queen."
