30. You Don't Know About Me

SIX YEARS LATER

It's been four years. Almost five since I've seen him. And it was my birthday weekend, once again. My 22nd birthday to be exact, and Ella, Cam, and Ice left me for the weekend. I was alone in a giant castle.

But my heart was also broken, I haven't seen Nick since my coronation. Yet I see Austin every. Single. Day.

"Scarlett! We're back!" A voice called from the long condor.

"Cam! You're all back... so soon... why are you back so soon?" I cried as they dragged each other into the room.

"What'd you mean we're back so soon?"

"You all left this morning, and I believe your last words were 'see you on Monday, boring kingdom!'"

"But we're back, and we may or may not have ran into someone..."

"Someone? Which someone? Briar? Maddie? Raven?!"

"Even better!"

"You found Lizzie!"

"No, we're working on that..." Cam said as all of them cleared a path.

"Oh my Fairy Godmother." I murmured and fell into my throne.

"Happy Birthday!" They all screamed.

The next thing I knew, Ice-Storm was poking me. "What?" I asked, I turned around with Ella on the other side of me.

"You passed out. On your birthday. From your present. That we got you. Well, it's more of a person than a present really." Cam said sitting down on my bed where I was located.

"I forgot, who or what it was so bring it to me." I ordered.

"You're way to bossy." Cam turned around telling someone to do something.

"I'm not bossy, I'm the Queen."

"The Queen of Bossiness."

"No I'm not!" I screeched and she pushed me out the door and slammed it.

"Did I just get locked out of my own room?" I asked before I heard breathing down the hall. Tall, dark hair, brown eyes, I ran to him.

I could've been squeezing the life out of him, but he didn't seem to notice. He just did the same. "I've missed you, Scarlett Queen." His warm voice soothing me.

"I've missed you too, Nick Claus." I said kissing his cheek.

"I'm sorry for not coming, in forever."

"Five years, seven months, and eight days."

"You missed me that much?"

"Started counting the day you left."

"You truly do love me, don't you?"

"More that you could ever know."

"So what do you say, for a evening on a boat in the fjord?"

"I would love that." I said before I was being away for Queenly stuff.

I raced back to my room after all the decisions I had to make, and I hated decisions. I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I changed out of my gown and put on a navy skirt, a white polo shirt, and navy suspenders. I laced my sneakers and walked out of the door. I missed Nick so incredibly much, but why didn't he visit?

Cam's POV

I overheard Scarlett and Nick talking in the hall. Perfect time to prepare! Once I heard they left, I flung open the door and jumped down the staircase.
