The next morning I wake up with my head on Masons chest and our bodies wrapped together. I can't help but feel so comfortable. This time there's nothing to break us apart as it's the weekend and my shoot isn't until early afternoon.
"Morning babe." Mason mumbles into my hair as he wakes up.
"Morning." I respond with a grunt, barely awake. He kisses my head and tightens his grip around me.
"I could get used to waking up like this." He suggests as his thumbs trace circles on my bare back.
"It's not happening all the time." His chest muffles my response.
"No you're right, sometimes you'll be naked too." Even without looking at him, I know he's smirking.
"Never happening." I grumble half heartedly. He flips our bodies around so we're face to face.
"Are you ok Brooke, I heard what he was saying yesterday." Mason asks with concern.
"I'm fine, we argue a lot don't worry." I try to put his mind at ease. Truth is, no matter how often it happens, it still hurts every time.
His eyes glance down to my lips and then back up so quickly I almost missed it. Our eyes lock and our faces slowly inch closer and closer together until our lips are about to touch.
"Hey dude do you mind if I borrow your...." Shane walks in and stops himself when he sees me and the fact we were about to kiss. "Don't worry." He walks out just as fast as he came in.
"We should get up." I suggest awkwardly as I quickly pull myself away from him.
"Yeah." Mason agrees, scratching the back of his head. I grab my shoes before dashing out of his room as quickly as possible. Obviously as I'm walking out Jess of all people has to see me.
"Oh look it's the little slag creeping out of Masons room." She mocks.
"Well I'm not going to be creeping out of yours any time soon sorry honey." I retort sarcastically.
"Oh you're so funny, you're just bitter he rejected you that's why you're creeping out so quietly. Why would he want a twig bitch like you that has no shape anyway?" She digs into me and I can't help but notice the truth in what she's saying
"Just drop it Jess, I'm bored of this now." I snap and turn on my heels, hearing her chuckle behind me.
I spend the rest of the morning in the gym then head back to my room for a long, well deserved soak in the bath. When your body aches this much, baths are literally heaven on earth. I step out of the bath and dry my body off, throwing on a plain yellow summer dress and leave my hair in a wet bun ready for styling. A knock sounds on my door just as I'm about to sit down.
"Hey girlfriend." Kai, my hair and makeup greets with a giant hug. He is one of the loveliest people you'll ever meet, then will go behind your back and tell the paps anything juicy he can find out.
"Hey babe how are you?" I ask with a smile.
"All the better for seeing you my beauty queen, how's it going here in your new home?" He asks hoping for some gossip to take back.
"It's great, I'm loving it." I respond without giving too much away. We carry on making small talk and catching up with each other until my hair and makeup are flawless.
Kai styles me with straight but windswept looking hair and fairly natural makeup with pink lips. He hands me a white frilled crop top and pale denim ripped shorts which I pair with white trainers. As much as the guy gets on my nerves, he has some serious talent.
Once the look is complete, we head outside to the university gardens where they have decided to shoot. To my surprise, there are a fair few students gathered to watch the shoot. I'm styled head to toe in Dolce & Gabbana and it feels incredible. The novelty of modelling never wears off.
"Hey Brooke, how are you? It's been a while." Dean, the photographer asks. I spend a few minutes with the crew catching up then we move on to discussing how they want the shoot to go.
"Right then gorgeous, we want that summer beach babe vibe. Think you can do it?" Dean questions as everyone takes positions.
"Anything for you." I wink causing him to chuckle. I step back, sitting on the fountain bench moving into different positions for what feels like ages. We then try standing on the bench and eventually in the wooden archway.
As I lean back against the wall, my eyes are met with the sight of Jess, making me incredibly uncomfortable.
"Do you mind if we take a break, I need some water." I manage to stagger out as I sit on some steps with my head resting on the wall. I see the camera flash and laugh to myself, knowing there's never really a break. One of the crew bring me a bottle of water and I thank them before taking a small sip: too much water could lead to bloating which I definitely don't want.
It infuriates me how I let Jess get to me so much. She's got that stunning hourglass figure whereas I'm just flat all over; no arse, no tits, nothing. She doesn't have to be such a bitch about it but I'll show her. I place my head between my legs, letting all dizziness pass before standing up again.
"Right let's go." I suggest as I bounce back into action. I put every ounce of energy into the rest of the shoot, making it one of my best ever.
A few hours later, I'm looking through the photos and I have to say he's done a good job. I almost look model worthy.
"You never fail to impress me Dean." I tease as I nudge his shoulder. He is by far one of my favorite photographers, and not just because he's incredibly beautiful. He captures a spark in me that I don't even see in myself on a day to day basis, it's like he brings me to life.
"We should have a proper catch up soon." He states and I know what he means: round two. We ended up sleeping together a few months ago after an intimate nude shoot I had done for Vogue.
"Well I'm a uni girl now, I'll have to see if I can fit you into my schedule." I joke but to be honest, I just don't feel like it. "Could you send me a few of those though?" I ask with fluttered lashes.
"Yeah pick what you want." He hands me his laptop and I choose my top three, emailing them to myself.
"You're the best Dean!" I exclaim as I lean in and give him a kiss on the cheek. His hand starts to move down so I pull away immediately, not wanting to give any wrong impressions.
"See you soon babe." He squeezes me tightly before heading back to his crew.
