We walk out of ballet on a high, knowing that was the last lesson of the term. It feels so good to be free for a whole week. No interviews, no class, no shoots, just a week in Bath with my favorite person.
"I can't believe we get a whole week off." Shane exclaims like a kid on Christmas day.
"And the weather is still glorious." Alice sings, she lives here in Cornwall so is spending the week relaxing on the beach.
"You know, I've never been to Bath." I tell Mason as the others head their separate ways.
"You'll love it, it's stunning. Just like you." He kisses me on the head as we walk hand in hand.
"So do your parents know I'm coming?" I ask, hoping they don't mind me staying.
"They know someone's coming, I haven't said it's you. My little sister would go mental." He chuckles. "Don't worry I'll make sure she's on her best behaviour."
"You're so lucky to have a sister." I state, jealous of his seemingly perfect, complete family.
"I'd like to hear you say that again at the end of the week." He rolls his eyes as we walk into my room.
I stupidly hadn't packed so now I'm doing it last minute. Luckily we've only had dance classes today and finished at lunch so we'll still get there around dinner time. That's if I pack fast enough. I quickly grab my travel suitcase I use for weekend shoots and start throwing clothes in. Maybe I went a little overboard but I have an outfit for any event that could possibly happen. I then grab my charger, purse and keys and we set off.
"You know, I never realised you could drive." I chuckle as we reach Masons gorgeous, black Toyota GT convertible.
"You should learn, I would teach you but I value my car and my life too much." He does have a very nice car in all fairness and it's immaculately clean.
"What's the point, I get paid to have other people take me places." I shrug. It may sound stuck up but it's the truth.
"You're not normal Brooke." Mason exclaims as he rolls his eyes. "This week, you're going to experience the life of a normal human and you'll love it."
"I can't wait." I say with a smile. "I just hope your parents like me. And your sister." I tell him anxiously.
"Trust me babe, they will. My sister is in love with you already." He assures me. "Before we go though, I have something I want to ask you." His tone suddenly turns very serious and I don't like it. He places our bags gently in the boot and closes it before turning to face me.
"Okay?" I question nervously.
"Look I know this isn't the most romantic and you've probably had this done in much better ways before but I just need to know how to introduce you to my parents. I don't want there to be any awkwardness this week so if you don't want to that's fine I understand." He rambles on, leaving me very confused as to where this is going.
"What are you trying to say Mason." I ask with furrowed brows.
"Brooke. Will you officially be my girlfriend?" He asks, looking down at the floor nervously.
"I'd love to." The biggest smile appears on his face as he leans in to kiss me and I can't help but feel this is the happiest I've been since mum was around.
"I'd got you a present." He states as he gets a box out of his back pocket. "I didn't want to give it to you before I asked because it could have been awkward." He chuckles awkwardly as he hands me the box.
I open it to reveal a stunning rose gold necklace with a heart pendant. "This is beautiful Mason, thank you." I gasp in surprise.
"Here, let me put it on for you." He takes the necklace and places it slowly around my neck, causing butterflies to erupt in my stomach.
"I love it, boyfriend." I tell him as I bring my lips up to meet his.
"Girlfriend." He laughs and we make our way into the car ready for the long journey ahead.

"Babe, wake up." Something nudges my shoulder. I slowly open my eyes to see Mason openly staring at me.
"Sorry, where are we?" I ask while sitting up properly and stretching my neck. How embarrassing, I can't believe I fell asleep. At least he was concentrating on the road rather than looking at me I suppose.
"About five minutes away I just didn't think you'd appreciate me waking you up and going straight inside.
"You're cute." I murmur and he gives me a big cocky grin.
"Well I've got to step it up, you're my girlfriend now." He chuckles and I roll my eyes, inwardly glowing at how good it feels hearing him say that. "Let me just call mum and let her know we're almost here."
"Hi mum...yeah we're about five minutes away....yes....no its fine....yes....it's Brooke....look mum we're almost here and you can ask her yourself... how am I supposed to know what her favorite type of milk is...ok love you." He hangs up, laughing to himself.
"She's looking forward to this, I've never brought a girlfriend home before. I'm sorry in advance if she gets a bit much, and anything she tells you about me, it's a lie." He admits and I laugh, slightly jealous he has a mum to fuss over him.
"I'm looking forward to all the embarrassing stories." I tell him as he finishes the last of the drive. I pull the sun visor down and adjust my hair and makeup in the mirror before putting my sunglasses back on. It's not long before the car pulls to halt outside a stunning, old style detached house with an incredible garden. Safe to say his parents don't struggle financially. Even from the outside, the place looks welcoming and homey.
"Are you ready for this?" He chuckles as his little sister comes running out the house towards his car. We both get out and he runs towards her, picks her up and spins her round before placing her back down.
"Hey Maddie bear I've missed you." They give each other a giant hug and I see his parents now walking towards us as well.
"I've missed you too Macey." She grabs his hand and I pull my sunnies onto my head, walking towards them. His sister stops and stares at me, jaw almost hitting the floor once she realises who I am.
"Maddie this is Brooke, my girlfriend." His sister just keeps staring at me wordlessly.
"Hey Maddie, it's nice to meet you finally. Your bother talks about you all the time." I smile and crouch slightly down to her level.
"B-Brooke Morgan?" She questions, apparently still unable to form sentences.
"Sorry about this, she does normally know how to speak." Mason laughs and goes over to greet his parents.
"It's nice to meet you Brooke. Mason never told us his girlfriend was quite so pretty, he kept that one quiet." His mum comes over and gives me a warm hug.
"Thank you so much for letting me come, it's beautiful here." I announce as I hug her back.
"We are really quite lucky." His dad adds on. I turn to look at Mason who is crouched down, whispering with his sister.
"I think you've made Maddies day being here. Don't worry she'll talk to you properly soon, she's a bit shy and you're, well you're her idol." His mum laughs as she looks back at her children.
"She's a cutie." I tell her, smiling at the two siblings. Mason looks up and offers me a knee buckling smile, setting the butterflies off again.
"Apparently my son idols you as well. He looks happy which is nice to see for once." She laughs as the five of us head inside. I can't help but ponder over her sentence, Mason has always seemed happy to me.
