"Brookieee." Mason calls out as he walks over. I'm sat in the garden with Maddie, painting her nails for her. Since being here she's become my little shadow and it's adorable, I'd love a little sister.
"She's busy at the moment you'll have to wait." Maddie tells him with an eye roll and I laugh at how much sass she has.
"I'm very sorry Maddie bear but it's important." He tells her which captures my attention.
"Are you ok?" I turn to face him hoping its nothing serious.
"Yes but you need to start getting ready. You have about an hour then we're going on a date." He smiles then leans down to kiss my lips.
"What sort of date?" I question and I hear Maddie chuckle next to me
"One for you to get dressed up nice and fancy." He winks before walking off and Maddie squeaks in excitement.
"Omg Brooke you're going on a date this is so exciting." She gushes.
"Let me finish your nails then you can help me get ready if you like?" She gives a huge toothy smile as she nods ferociously.
I finish the last coat on her right hand before we head upstairs to get ready. I start with my makeup while Maddie looks through my clothes. Once I've done my makeup I straighten my hair slightly, leaving the bottom with slight waves.
"Right then what am I wearing fashion master." I joke and she holds up a plain black skirt with a black body suit that comes to a v around my waist line. I have to say, the kid has taste.
"That's prefect Maddie, thank you." I say as I take the clothes and change. I then put on my own brand scented perfume and slide on a pair of black Valentinos.
What do you think then, will your brother like it?" I ask as I give her a twirl.
"He'll love it. But he loves you always anyway." She smiles so innocently it makes my heart melt.
"Oh does he?" I raise my eyebrow, wondering where she got that thought from.
"Yeah he told me. He also said not to tell you but I think it's something you should know." She responds with a shrug like it's nothing.
"Do you love him too?" She questions as she slides off the bed.
"You know, I think I do." I respond and she grabs my hand, dragging me down the stairs. We make our way into the kitchen where I see Mason in a deep grey suit which is a sight that catches my breath.
"You look amazing." He breaths out after staring at me wordlessly for what feels like ages. I smile slightly as my cheeks heat up and I look him in the eyes.
"Guys before you go, I need a picture of your very first date." Linda runs in excitedly with her phone ready for a photo. She takes a few really cute pictures before we head off to god knows where.
"So where are we going?" I ask as we walk down the road hand in hand.
"It's a surprise." He states as we round the corner. The streets of Bath look incredible in the evening dusk as the limited light shines down. He comes to a stop outside the Roman baths and turns to face me.
"Here we are." He smiles and we walk inside, greeted with a glass of champagne each.
We make our way through the entrance and out onto the terrace. From there, we look down at the entire city taking in the scenes below.
"It's beautiful up here." I state in wonder.
"I know." He responds looking deep into my eyes causing the butterflies to erupt in my stomach. We then head down through to the springs and then the main bath and it's incredible. The detailing these people put into building this place is mind blowing, especially as they had no proper tools to work with.
"How did you know I like this sort of thing?" I question.
"Lucky guess." He shrugs and I raise an eyebrow, not believing him.
"Ok I asked Maddie, she knows a scary amount about you." He admits sheepishly as he turns away from me and carries on walking.
"Oh god." I crack up laughing and his cheeks go red, I think it's the first time I've ever seen Mason embaressed like that.
"I just wanted it to be perfect for you." He smiles and he turns back to face me properly and steps right in front of me.
I look up into his deep green eyes and feel my knees going weak. He really is the best thing that ever could of happened to me.
"I'm in love with you Brooke Morgan." He states without any thought of hesitation before his lips crash to mine. He wraps his hands around my waist as mine go up to his shoulders and he kisses me incredibly softly for as long as he can.
"I'm in love with you too Mason Hill." I respond as our foreheads press together.
We finish the tour before he takes me down the road and into a bar. Not exactly what I was expecting after the start of our date but I'm excited. I've never been to a bar just for fun before, it's always either business or publicity reasons so I have to be careful.
"Now I'm giving you the experience of a normal person out for a date." He smirks as he orders two tequilas. Oh god this isn't going to go well.
"Salt, tequila, lemon." He instructs causing me to roll my eyes.
"I've done shots before I'm not a complete weirdo." I joke before taking the shot.
"I'm impressed." He smiles before ordering us a glass of prossecco each. It's not long before people begin to notice me, although luckily no one says anything and Mason does his best to ignore the stares.
Two hours later and we're dancing in the middle of the room, fairly seductively, with not a care in the world. Mason has banned me from having any more drinks which I think is a good idea. Before I know it, it's two in the morning and the bar starts to close so we make our way outside.
"Are you ok babe?" Mason asks as we sit down on a bench. To be honest, the alcohol has gotten to my head far too much but I don't want to let him know that.
"I'm good." I respond with a nod as I stand up over enthusiastically and have to use him to stop myself falling over.
"I see that." He chuckles as he takes hold of my hand for support. The walk back to his seems so much longer than before and I can't help but giggle the whole way back.
"What are you laughing at Brooke?" Mason asks with an eye roll, probably getting annoyed with my childishness.
"I'm laughing because..." I start but have to take a breath so my words don't get muddled. "Because you said you love me." I give him a wide smile as I kiss his cheek.
"And why is that funny?" He questions, understandably confused as to why I find it so amusing.
"Because your sister already told me you do." I laugh even more at the shocked expression on his face.
"That little shit." He mutters with a chuckle as we head inside as quietly as possible. It doesn't take much for me to be fast asleep for the night.
