Chapter 9: Around The World

The next morning 7:15 am - Zach's room

"Ugh", said Zach getting up from his bed feeling very tired. "Why do I feel so tired?", asked Zach to himself getting up. While I was getting up, a glass of water was next to my bed on a little desk. I accidentally tipped it over and I looked over at it and it seemed like it was falling to the ground in slow motion.

I tried catching but it seemed like my hand speed feels and looks like its moving more faster. I than caught the glass and stood there wondering what the heck just happened. "What....the heck? Not again!", said Zach putting the glass down harshly.

"Shit! Why is this happening to me?!", asked himself walking away from the glass slowly. I started walking out of my room in a hurry and suddenly felt the same swoosh of what seems to be is that I'm speeding. I than saw my dad coming in the kitchen in slow motion?

I suddenly appeared in the kitchen. "Whoa! Good morning Zach. How'd the hell you get out here so fast?!", asked Mr. Connor looking frightened. "Oh! Umm.. I don't know", replied Zach trying to act normal. What the hell is this happening to me?! I started going outside. And suddenly speeded again and appeared right outside. "Actually this kinda feels good!", said Zach kinda grinning.

"Son what is happening to you?", asked Mr. Connor comes running outside. "I don't know dad! But I like it! Hang on", replied Zach quickly running into his room and coming back out. Mr. Connor was in shock just seeing his son appear in the middle of no where.

"Now I'm ready! Now lets see what I can do!", said Zach putting his earphones in. "Son! What are you doing?!", asked Mr. Connor about to grab Zach. "Gonna run and feel...the wind!", replied Zach turning on the song "I Got A Feeling" and starts running.

"Son!!!", yelled Mr. Connor falling backwards from the whoosh of wind from Zach running. "WHOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!", yelled Zach feeling tons of wind going passed his face. It is so cool that I am going through every state every 5 seconds. Everyone can't even see me! How the hell can I do this?! I don't know but this is epic! Oh I just went passed New York City and.....shit! Can I run on water?!!

Zach kinda slows down but sees that he is running on water. "Holy shit! I can run on water baby!!!", said Zach passing the statue of liberty. Im gonna go to places where I have never been before! Egypt, Paris, Asia, and Africa!

Left and right I went across the globe feeling so free. I went on top of the pyramid and felt the blazing hot sun in my face. I went through mountains in Asia like I was racing in them like it was no struggle to hike.

I raced through Africa and saw tons of animals I haven't seen before in real life actually in the wild. I stopped to look at a beautiful view by some hills next to some rock cliffs. As I was staring at the view and took some pictures, I heard a rawr!

I turned around quickly and suddenly I saw a male lion running towards me with some other females! I quickly dodged an attack a female lion tried to attempted to hit me. "Ha! Try again!", yelled Zach taunting by slapping his own butt at the lions. They started running towards me again and I did the same.

"Ha!", said Zach dodging the male lion from trying to bite him. I than swooped around the group and slapped one of the female lions butts. "How'd you like that huh?!", said Zach dashing all around the group and slapping their butts. One tried clawing me again and I swooped down and punched the male lion in the chest and he backed off for a second. A female lion came up from behind me, and I quickly looked back and dashed her. She ended hitting another female lion and rawred from pain.

I never thought I'd be slapping a big lions butt like this! "Ha!!!! Wait......this is supposed to be dangerous!!! "Aaaahhhh!!!! But! I dodged every attacked you bitches tried on me!", said Zach pointing his finger at the herd.

"Well I'm bored now, I'm going back home now! Later kitties!", yelled Zach running towards home. While I was passing through Africa, I was coming towards an elephant herd. I also wanted to ride one of those, so I quickly ran up one elephant and it suddenly went in shock! "Ahhh! Fuck this!", said Zach wiping sweat of his face and started running again.

10 seconds later

A few seconds went by and I now for some reason appeared next to a barn. I felt like I couldn't run like I used to. "The hell! C'mon stupid....speeding powers!", said Zach looking at himself. I looked around and tried to see where I was. I than heard heard someone from behind me. It sounded like a girl. She said, "Zach. Come with me".

I turned around slowly and I saw a beautiful girl that looks a little older than me. She had a type of beat up suit that had an X on it.

"What the.... Who the hell are you? How do you know my name?!", asked Zach walking backwards slowly feeling frightened. "My name is Sophia. I will tell you how I knew your name ounce you come with me", replied the girl.

"Oh....ok. What for?", asked Zach again. "Ill tell you when you come with me. This is serious", replied Sophia walking towards Zach. "How come I can't run?!", asked Zach trying to run away. "We've stopped your mutation speeding ability temporally until you come with me", replied Sophia holding out her hand.

Zach than slowly walks toward the pretty girl. "Ok. I trust you. But I must return home soon", said Zach holding his hand out. "You wont be going to this home anytime soon. You will have a new home", replied Sophia. "Wait what?!", said Zach feeling scared. Suddenly Sophia grabs Zach's hand and both disappear.

Meanwhile at the Andrews house

"Sam! We just got a call that Zach ran away!", said Mr. Andrews walking into Sam's room. "W-what?!", asked Sam slowly waking up from his bed. "It sounded like he was running at like....super speeds, than it knocked down Mr. Connor to the ground from Zach's whoosh. They are now putting up missing teen papers all around", replied Mr. Andrews walking out.

The hell?! More powers?! We really need Jason. Or that school Kristine and Ben took off to. I wonder why he ran away.

2 weeks later

There has been no sign of Zach for about 2 weeks. His parents are worried sick. Everyone has just been on the look out for him. I'm starting to get allot worried myself. I talked to Jason about his so-called speed powers and he said "Well, he probably has the power to move at incredible speeds".

Im just on the road in my truck going to hang out at a bar with some old buddies of mine. Suddenly my phone started vibrating. I checked it out and its a text from Julia. She says "Hey Sam, I wanted to let you know to try to hurry up to my place right now cause....something happened. Please hurry. Love you".

"What the fuck?!", said Sam feeling scared. My heart just started feeling warm on edge. I started getting goosebumps. I tried texting her back but she wont respond back. I better say to my old buddies that Ill be late or I wont be there. I hope everything is ok with her! She better not of got hurt or anything!!!
