After getting back from Fucci's house, Duffy proceeded to yell at me, telling me it's all my fault for bring Claudia. Traumatize Claudia threaten to call the cops on Fucci for the murder of Kelly. Both Duffy and I explained to her why she couldn't do that. Now she's mad at both of us.
Walking into the kitchen, Claudia was at the stove making a pot of soup. I haven't seen her since Sunday morning when she yelled that both Duffy and I will rot in hell. "Good afternoon Claudia." I said. Silence. She ignored me proving she's still upset even though it's now Wednesday. "Claudia you can't still be mad." I said sitting on the counter, she still didn't answer. I truly felt bad, Duffy explained to me that even though she was Val's housekeeper she never witness his activities so that whole scene on Saturday was too much for her. The doorbell rang Claudia didn't move from stirring the pot. "I'll get it." I said sarcastically to her as I hopped off the counter and walked to the door.
"Ana-banana" Emilio said hugging me picking me off the ground. "Missed me?" he said winking at me since I haven't seen him since the party. I rolled my eyes stepping aside letting him in with Duffy and Sonny behind him. Duffy pulled me aside "Has she spoken to you?" he asked. I shook my head as we walked into the kitchen. Emilio and Sonny were leaning on the island conversating with each other, while Duffy walked up to Claudia. "Fermare!"(stop!) she said sternly. She spoke in Italian, but Duffy understood her as his cheeks redden. "Jesus Christ Claudia, you can't still fucking be mad." Duffy said angrily "Hey, at least she still cooking. I'm starving." Emilio said rubbing his stomach.
Claudia stopped for a second, taking the pot of soup and pouring in the sink. "Mangia Merda" (eat shit) she said as she started to recite the Hail Mary. "I didn't think anyone cared for that whore." Emilio said rubbing the back of his neck. Claudia looked at him coldly. "No matter what she was, she didn't deserve to die. There were times when I couldn't stand her. I didn't understand why Val was involved with her. Saturday, I realized it was a game to him. God forgive me, "fucking" Fucci's wife was how he was getting his one up on him. He knew the consequences of his actions, but he didn't care." She started to cry "I've come to realized he never cared, only cared how he could stay on top and bring others down." She started to wipe her tears away. "You" she said pointing at me "You will become him, he knew what he was doing passing "this" on to you, you married the devil and now he owns your soul, continuing his dirty work. I will pray for you my dear, but I swear to god if you continue, I will just watch you burn." Claudia finished walking out of the kitchen. I felt chills run down my spine, feeling lightheaded I sat down on the stool putting my head down on the island. There was an awkward silence in the kitchen. "Now I see why Val never involved her in anything." Emilio said grunting.
But Claudia was right, Val was like a brother to her, she knew the sins he committed but deep down she knew he was a good person. Her mother use to tell her all the evil that Val's father and Val were capable of doing without actually doing it themselves, but she never believed her. Kelly's death an example of just that, messing around with Fucci's wife, was betrayal and the outcome would be death for Kelly and Val knew that. Saturday night Claudia prayed all night, she prayed for Kelly, Val, but most of all Ana. Claudia couldn't believe that Ana didn't stop the killing. When Claudia met Ana, she was such a shy and sweet girl, but Saturday night Claudia became scared for what Ana could become. To Claudia that meant Ana was making her bed, she only hoped she could stop her before she laid in it.
"Drink some water." Duffy said putting a glass of water by my head. I thanked him and drank the whole glass not realizing how thirsty I was. "She's fucking crazy, that soup smelt so good." Emilio sighed earning a shove from Duffy. "Ana-banana, do you think you could make something I'm starving." He said massaging my shoulders. I turned to face him "Why are you all touchy feely?" I asked him, confused with the affection he's been displaying. He laughed nervously "Well, I was thinking since Val's dead and Lo's in France, that we can make this happen." He said. "No." I said, sending Duffy and Sonny in a laughing frenzy. The mentioning of Lo's name reminded me that I had a meeting with Dect. Alex. "Just one date Ana. Give it a try. You can't deny the sexual tension between us." Emilio said smirking. I wasn't listening as I quickly started to run to my room to get ready. "Oh man that shit's too funny." I heard Sonny say while still laughing. "Shut the fuck up before I whack you." Emilio said to him.
