Jamie's POV

I try to ignore him and keep walking, but I feel him grab my hand. I hesitate to turn around. "It's been a while since well you know..." I break free of his grasp and look at him. Ashton looks shocked and his gaze moves to the floor. I sigh, "let's go" I turn back around and walk to a nearby coffee shop. "What are you doing here?" I ask taking a sip of my drink. I can tell that he is nervous. "Well for starters I wanted to know why you changed your mind." He almost choked on his words just remembering that day. I turn to look out of the window, "you know that was the hardest choice of my life."

I wipe away a tear that starts to fall. "I made that decision after the park, after I knew that I couldn't take away what I knew you'd love doing." I stand up to walk away and Ashton reaches for my hand, but I pull away before he manages to get it. "I get what I did was shitty, but you can't even imagine what I went through after that." I reach into my bag and take out a set of keys, "here, these are to a storage unit on this street." I take a breath and walk out the door. What am I doing? Why am getting mad for what I did? I knew that moving here could've led to this.

I should have just been honest as to why I came out here. I came out here to be with him or at least to see if that was even a possibility. It's just so hard seeing him, and I can't act like I was never in love with him. I walk to where the storage unit is, and I wait until he gets here.

Ashton's POV

I watched her walk away. I wanted to stop her, but also knew that she wouldn't let me stop her. I take a look at the key she handed me. I guess there's only one thing to do now. I follow her lead and go towards the storage space that is at the other end of the street. "Uh, where to now?" I ask jiggling the keys. I can tell she's hesitated, I know she doesn't want to go any further then is required.  I go to comfort her, but she pulls away. "Unit 18," she takes a breath, "I'll wait outside whenever you're done." I nod and watch her as she leaves. I walk down looking for the unit. "Seventeen...ah here we go eighteen." I open the door and flick the light on. My eyes went wide as I stare at everything I had left behind when I left. She kept everything of mine. Seeing how much we rose up she could have just gotten rid of it all.

I walk in going through most of what is here. I stop and look at a picture that has been pulled out. It's the last and only picture of us together.

Flash Back to 2011

"Come on Ash!" Jamie pleads with a camera in her hand. We've been together two months after She left harry. "Just one photo? I might not have any if you get discovered." I slide my finger along her jaw. I smirk, "How can I possibly pass up a photo from my first fan." I grab her by her waist placing her on my lap. "Ash!" she blushed hard; her hand goes to cover it. I grab her softly and bring her face close to mine, taking the picture.

Back to the present

I take the picture and put it back where it was. I start to cry. This woman whom I grew to love over a couple of months. Didn't want to lose any trace of me when I left. I take out my phone and scroll to find a picture I had taken of Jamie without her noticing. Her long red hair blowing against her soft tanned skin, still being able to see her green eyes looking slightly toward the camera. I've always looked at it secretly before going to bed in hopes to give me comfort.

It's not something I bring up because I know all the guys would give me a look. I've moved on, but only with this photo and now seeing all this...my heart is pulled back to the past.
