(Second book to It: Chapter I - It Begins)
Exactly 27 years after the events of the summer of 1989, when a group of children founded the losers club in Derry, strange things started to happen again in the city. A young man, after being beaten by a h...
Meg's Pov A couple months had gone by, and for the first time, I couldn't have been happier. It was weird, not being so fearful or worried about everything. Bill and I moved into a house together, with Kara, of course. Kara loved Bill and saw him more as an older brother or the cool uncle. I didn't mind. As long as they got along, I was happy. So, as I said, we had moved into a house and wrote books. I finished my first one. It was at a publishing company. Just had to wait if they would, you know, publish it.
Anyways, today was a great day. Or would be. Why? So, Bill, Kara and I were staying at a hotel for the week. One, because Kara had no school and she deserved a little vacation and so did Bill and I. But also because it was Ben's birthday. All of the losers were invited to the party. I had a feeling that Ben didn't know what was coming or more like who. It was just... It was a shame that neither Stan or Eddie could be here. Both of them belonged to us, to the Loser's Club and they were gone. Died in horrible ways, both of them. I shook my head. No. none of those thoughts today.,,Think happy thoughts. We'll stick together!",I muttered under my breath as I got ready. It was still an hour drive to their house.
,,Hey, you ready?",Bill asked, walking into the room as I put on my shoes.,,Yeah, I'm ready. Do we have everything? Gifts, wine or champagne?",I inquired, turning around to look at Bill. He was smiling as he looked me up and down. It made me blush a little. Bill came over to me and put his hands around my waist.,,You look wonderful.",he murmured, loud enough for me to hear.,,Oh, shut up.",I replied, grinning like a maniac. He leaned in to give me a kiss when there was a knock on the door frame.
,,Could you two stop being so damn cute?",another voice inquired. Bill and I chuckled a little. It was Kara who was waiting for us to leave and see our friends again. Yes, she had met Lia, Ben and Liam a few weeks ago. And Richie, she knew him from his comedy show. Mike dropped by once, so she met him, too. The only one, she hadn't met yet, was Beverly and of course, our fallen friends. If only they were here today...,,No, I mean it. It's too perfect. Almost disgustingly cute.",Kara added. Bill and I laughed at that.,,You haven't been in love yet. Once you are, you'll understand.",I told her as I walked over to her.,,Can we go now?",she asked. I giggled a little, nodding. Kara smiled brightly.,,Let's get going then.",Bill meant. The three of us left the room and grabbed our bags. Yes, for the gifts and drinks.
Then, we made our way to the lift and took it to get downstairs. And once we were, downstairs I meant, we left the hotel and went to the car. We put the bags in the trunk and got in. Kara went straight to her phone, checking to see if any of her friends had texted her.,,Kara, would you, please, fasten your seatbelt?",I asked as I looked at her through the rear-view mirror. She sighed a little and put her phone away before doing what I asked her to do.,,Are we good to go now?",Bill inquired, looking at me. I nodded and kissed his cheek. Smiling, we made our way to Ben's and Lia's house. Yes, they too had moved in together some months ago and I was very happy for them.
Time skip Bill, Kara and I had arrived some time ago. We weren't the last to get her. Guess who was.... Yes, Richie wasn't here yet. Maybe he forgot? Or he didn't want to come because it was too painful, because Eddie wasn't there which really was sad and all but... I should stop now. Richie wasn't here, yet and we didn't know when he would come or if he would even show up.
