"Do not follow me. I want to do this on my own" I tell Von. He and I got prepared for the journey to find the lady who stole the amulet, this is literally the first time I ever wore pants in public.
"Okay Princess, be very careful. If you want to find out who this witch is, talk to mama Jen."
"That's the Psychic. I know where she is" Ellis told me.
"Thanks, Von!" I hug him then left.
"Okay, Mama Jen is a 20-minute walk from here, since she lives in the village," Ellis tells me
"We should start walking then"
Just as Ellis said, it took us 20 minutes to get to mama Jen's house. Her door was already open so we just walked in.
"Princess Kylie, I've been expecting you," she said without even turning to see it's me. "Please sit" she motions for me to sit. "How are you?" She asks.
"Horrible. Some lady came and stole something very important to my parents. They trusted me with it and she just took it! I think her name was Evy"
"No No darling. Her name is Evelyn Hunton. The evilest sorceress born. She stole the amulet because it will give her great powers and extraordinary abilities! She will be able to perform the impossible if the amulet isn't retrieved by the 5th sunset." She explained.
"Oh no, how do I find her? Where is she?" I questioned panicking.
"She was banished far far away, where no human is allowed. Linacre Shadows"
I gasp
"The forbidden forest?"
"yes dear"
"How do I get there?". "Do you know the way?" I ask Ellis and he shook his head rapidly.
"I know a brave and trustworthy young gentleman that can guide you to the forest"
"Really?! Who?"
"Look upon my crystal" I observed her crystal and it showed me the guy I was about to hang earlier.
"I don't think he would want to help me. I ordered him to be hung" I explain.
"His name is Noah Smythe, he's been living on his own for as long as I can remember. He's a very forgiving person. You can find him at the market" She told me. "Now go off" She shoo'd us.
"Thank you, mama Jen" I shake her hand.
"And by the way, he's very attractive and fit" she winked.
"I have a boyfriend mama Jen, bye bye now" I chuckle.
"Not for long" I hear her mumble sing.
"Where to now? Oh on our way to the forbidden forest to be slaughtered" Ellis said sarcastically.
"Don't be a wisecracker, we have to go get Noah" I dragged him to the nearby market. I put my hoodie on so it won't draw too much attention to myself. We find him inside the market loading shelves.
"Wait out here, I'll bring him to you," Ellis tells me then leaves to get him. A few minutes later he brings him to me just as he said.
"Yes?" Noah asks. I take off my hoodie to reveal myself. "Is this a joke?" he turns to walks away.
"Wait!" he stops in his tracks. "Baby, let me talk to him alone please" I smile at Ellis.
"Alright" Ellis left to go inside the market.
"I know we haven't gotten off on the right foot, and you really have no reason to want to assist me, well... you kind of do. You're a fugitive"
"Well then if I'm a fugitive let your guards come retrieve me" he continues walking off.
"Noah I need your help, Please!" I beseeched
"Wow" he chuckles. "The Superior Princess Kylie is begging someone for help" he teases. "How ironic, what's in it for me?"
"I'll abolish your criminal record, which I caused. I'm sorry for that" I frown.
"What do you even need help with?"
"I need you to take me to the forbidden forest" I blurt out.
"Excuse me?" he questions. "This has got to be a joke" he laughs.
"I'm serious! This evil sorcerer took something important! My parents trusted me with it! I need to get it" I beg.
"You're going to need to up the price" he smirked
"100 pounds" I glare.
"Higher"
"200"
"Higher"
"500"
"Double that and it's a deal" he smiled.
"1000 pounds?! No way"
"Then I'm leaving, and you're done, bye bye now" he grinned then walked off.
"Fine! I'll give you 1000 pounds and clear your record, iff!! You take me to the forbidden forest. Deal?"
"Deal" he smirked and we shook hands.
"You hooligans are very clever" I rolled my eyes.
"Is that a compliment?" he smirked.
"No! Ellis!" I shout for him to come over.
"We're done talking, he's in," I tell Ellis grinning.
"Great! Welcome aboard" They shook hands.
"Lead the way" I motion for Noah to lead us to the Forbidden Forest.
