Prologue-
She threw her glossy brown hair over her shoulders as she turned to face me. Alex's ruby red eyes darted to the guys' surrounding her. She smiled deviously as she walked around knocking each guy over with a cold, hard stare. My heart stopped in my chest when she walked up to me. Her hands traced my face gently then slid down my neck and chest. She leaned in, and I held my breath. It was as if it was knocked from my chest.
"Your different. " She murmured in my ear. "Run along before I change my mind."
I took off down the street. The girl was powerful, more powerful than my group. Alone she conquered us. It was strange though. The way her features were, and the sound of her voice told me there was something more. Alex wasn't completely a demon like us. She was something more, and that something more made her mortal.
